Pavement uneven, 19th April

Fri, 19 Apr 2024 16:12:40 +0100

When the crossing was out in, the pavement was raised partially. This has created an area where water cannot drain, so creates a puddle and makes using the footpath difficult.

Dangerous road surface, 19th April

Fri, 19 Apr 2024 06:41:15 +0100
53.42388 -1.539855

The surface of the road at this junction is very very uneven and full,of potholes.,it’s been like it for months. Can’t believe that another section of the road Lowe to the main road junction has been resurfaced in the last two weeks, but this area, in far worse condition has been left. Why when the team were here was not the whole road done. There are even white marks on the road, so someone has looked at it and can see it’s bad. It will cause accidents soon and damage to vehicles

Extremely dangerous road surface, 18th April

Thu, 18 Apr 2024 23:39:50 +0100
53.42358 -1.541203

Good evening I would like to raise (again) the diabolical state of the road surface at the junction of long lane, top road and Kirk edge road! The gouges, grooves and extremely uneven crumbling road surface is soon to be the cause of a serious accident. Cars are now driving on the wrong side of the road to avoid these potholes and gouges which is extremely dangerous due to this be a very busy junction throughout the rush hour and school traffic. I have seen on numerous occasions near misses due to late avoidance of these bumps hole and crevices, and more seriously cyclists having to avoid cars pushing them into the center of the road direct into these road surface dangers. Half of the road has been successfully resurfaced near the bottom yet the worst part on this junction and nearer to the school has been left untouched? Do we have to wait until a serious vehicle accident or cyclist or child is seriously injured of killed before this is attended to!? Yours sincerely Andy Harris Kirk edge avenue resident.

The junction of Kirk Edge road and Long Lane is dangerous as the road surface is broken up, 12th April

Fri, 12 Apr 2024 12:42:18 +0100
53.423502 -1.54136

This area is just above where you have resurface the road yet you’ve left it in a dangerous state despite having the roads closed off and all the heavy equipment necessary to fix it there for 2 days. Surely it makes more sense to complete a repair than have to come back in a few weeks creating more disruption and transporting all the heavy plant back. Bring back the clerk of works as there appears to be little organised thinking.
