Excessively long Traffic queues, 9th February
The traffic queues heading South on the A338 between 17:30 and 18:00Hrs (possibly longer) during the week are excessive. On many an evening I have been queued back some 2 miles to Charlton All Saints. When one eventually reaches the borough there is perhaps 2-5 cars waiting to come out of the Borough. I feel changing the light sequence of the Downton Traffic lights slightly to extend the times of vehicles travelling South on the A338 would help reduce this excessive queue.

Dangerous layout, 10th October
The A338 junction with Church lane has been modified to tighten the junction. Traffic has to slow from 60mph on this busy road to around 10mph to make the turn which often causes other drivers to lock their wheels breaking heavily and to make it worse an island was put in the middle of the road to stop drivers going around vehicles slowing for church lane. This was an unnecessary works that has only made this section of road more dangerous than it was.
