Ragwort not controlled, 24th August
There is much Ragwort growing along the length of the westbound A36 on the dual carriageway into Salisbury. There are various Acts that oblige landowners to manage ragwort on their property including the Ragwort Control Act. 2003https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/code-of-practice-on-how-to-prevent-the-spread-of-ragwort
Please could you add ragwort control to your list of things to do. Thanks.

Excess vegetation blocking the cycle path, 16th August
At this point the designated cycle path is on the foot path. Half of the footpath is taken up by vegetation, so that cyclists have insufficient space, and there are overgrowing branches. There are children cycling along this narrow route and I am concerned that they might wobble and fall onto the busy road.

Signing unclear for the merging on northbound A36, 17th May
The signage for the merging coming into Salisbury on the A36 needs to be more clear as many people have nearly caused collisions because when there is a lot of traffic here they do not queue in both lanes and instead queue only in the left lane. Many get frustrated when anyone queues in the right lane and tries to merge in as you are supposed to do, and the frustrated driver then positions themselves in the middle of the two lanes despite it not merging for another 20-30 metres (once I have witnessed this about half a mile from the merge point by a lorry), or does not let the person on the right in, and sometimes several cars in a row in the left lane will not let people in the right lane to merge. I witness this almost every day, and have a couple of times seen people drive side by side even after the road has merged, or start to drive into the middle of the two lanes even when someone is right beside them on the right and therefore nearly go into them. If clearer or additional (maybe visual) signage could be put up, this would likely prevent collisions and road rage, and potentially help with traffic flow as was intended with the construction of the junction.

Please allow access to the village, 14th December
Hi,
The roadworks on the A36 have cut off access to the village when this isn’t necessary.
We would love you to be able to change the signage to village access only.
This is always a problem as you cut off the road at the Tesco roundabout to allow people to turn around, but you don’t let people back to the village which is before all the works begin.
You let people back to one specific road….which is literally the road you turn into to get to the village
We would be grateful if you could update the signs at this busy time of year in the evenings when many of us need to head into town.

Section from Claredon Place to petersfinger corner dangerously overgrown, 18th July
This section is still dangerously overgrown with weeds and bushes taking over more than half of the pavement. There are also low hanging trees.
It is not possible to walk along side a child without stepping into the road. It is also not possible to cycle this dedicated cycleway without ducking branches or handlebars clipping overgrowth.

Accident blackspot with insufficient warning signs, 6th July
There was a massive accident this morning and the Petersfinger corner 6th July 2022. It's very common for traffic to queue up to this corner and not be visible from vehicles approaching from the south. Perhaps a large slow sign and slow markings on the road and a mirror on the opposite corner would help reduce the risk.

Raised service cover and poor pavement condition is a trip hazard, 28th June
The pavement is very uneven along this stretch and there are at least two raised service covers which are a dangerous trip hazard. There are also sections of kerb in poor state of repair. This entire stretch of pavement/cycle network requires proper maintainance.

Pathway/Cycleway dangerously overgrown, 15th June
The pathway from Marshmead close to Petersfinger road is dangerously overgrown. It's not possible to walk hand-in-hand with a child along this section without stepping into the road.
I also question why this section of cycle network 24 was not repaired/resurfaced when the opposite side of the pavement was. This whole section needs proper repair and maintenance.

This corner is narrow and quite sharp. When you have two opposing HGVs they nearly hit one another as one swings out to avoid the overhanging trees which need cutting back.
