Road surface breaking up on roundabout, 23rd April

Tue, 23 Apr 2024 17:14:19 +0100
51.211252 -1.515936

The road surface is breaking up in numerous places around this roundabout (feeding from/to A303) resulting in several growing potholes. These are occurring such that cars and especially motorcycles are weaving to take avoiding action, significantly increasing the risk of collision with other road users or a motorcyclist being thrown from their bike.

Entire Stretch, 16th March

Sat, 16 Mar 2024 17:52:55 +0000
51.212395 -1.508391

This has been reported many times. In September 2023 the council came along and painted those white lines around the area to be sorted. Along the Upper Drove they were number to 167. NOTHING has been done, the markings have all but worn away. This area is now very dangerous, the road surface outside the schools in particular is not fit for purpose. The road needs repairs urgently.

Still an extreme hazard!, 26th January

Fri, 26 Jan 2024 15:58:15 +0000
51.219055 -1.55187

I reported the massive damage to the drains on the roundabout, and I was pleased to see that the next day there were signs and a plastic barricade to surround the area. However, since the high winds of several days ago, all the plastic barricades and signs have been lying in a heap on the roundabout. The hazard they are creating are as bad as the massive potholes around the drains, which are now no longer protected. Had the damage to the drains been fixed, rather than cordoned off, there would be no hazard...instead, the area has been made even more hazardous due to the lack of monitoring of the intended mitigation measures. Please attend the area urgently. Thank you.

Massive damage surrounding surface drain grates, 14th January

Sun, 14 Jan 2024 19:55:37 +0000
51.219046 -1.551803

There are 2 surface drains on the roundabout. These have huge trenches around them where the surface of the road has broken down. I would estimate that each drain has a trench about 20cm in width, and probably about the same depth. These will damage car wheels and cause motorcycle crashes. Please make these the highest priority for repair.
