Sinking pathway, 8th April
SE Water has dug this area up multiple times in 24 months but repairs never great. Latest was November 2023. Area on corner sinking again. Reported to SE Water but they dug up wrong area. They say that Highways has been made aware. Cannot see any sign of investigation or attempt to make safe. It is a hazard for pedestrians now.

Blocked slot gutter, 21st March
Blocked slit gutter along the front of houses between Lydd Cottage and Sharpthorne Village Garage. This blocks constantly and very rarely cleared by the council. In heavy rain it causes flooding onto the pavement and driveway making for a dangerous area to walk.

Pothole Selsfield Road near junction with B2028, 21st February
Huge pothole on northbound carriageway very near (20m) to junction with B2028. Pothole is deep and water filled causing an almighty crash when it is hit. Estimated depth 15cm, width 65cm and length 70cm. You cannot see this pothole at night or when it is filled with rainwater. It will cause a nastly accident or damage to vehicles. It needs repairing immediately.

Dangerous parking in junction, 12th September
Chapel row is a busy road (car parks in Broadfield, leading to chapel row)
Where the car parks, it creates danger getting in and out of the road as it turns the bell mouth into a single lane.
Turning right into Broadfield - I have had to stop on the main road when I’ve noticed a car coming down towards the bell mouth, leaving vehicles stranded in the oncoming lane of Chapel Row. Cars are known to speed through the village.
Turning left out of Broadfield - as this car creates a single lane, it either leaves the other vehicle stranded in oncoming traffic or I am forced to emergency break.

30 mile an hour signs, 2nd July
I noticed today when driving along Vowels Lane that a lot of signs have been put up. Various sizes 6 or 7, 30 mph signs. When did the speed limit change?? If it hasn't changed then who has made and erected the signs.

Left turn sign to Gravetye Manor obscured by hedges/trees, 25th May
A new left turn sign for Gravetye Manor has recently been installed somewhete in the area marked for drivers heading FROM East Grinstead/Kingscote. However, unbelievably, it has been erected WITHIN the hedge; it is totally impossible for drivers to see it! How much has this cost council tax payers? Please either move the sign or have the hedge cut
