Grinstead lane needs serious attention., 26th January
Dear Mims Davies. Thank you for your letter, If only to show word is finally getting through to you, as response from emails to yourself is Nil. Clearly you have no hands on knowledge of our surrounding road condition and cause. Which has nothing to do with utility companies, but Highways who totally neglect the very busy roadways through our villages. A Huge waste of money is spent cherry picking the odd pothole to be filled, and I mean filled, as I haven’t seen a professional repair completed on Grinstead Lane. And to Only to leave other road surface damage to increase to an extremely Dangerous and Vehicle Damaging condition. I notice you don’t mention Motorcyclists as vulnerable road users ! I invite you to a pillion ride on my motorcycle, this just might open your eyes to the importance of looking after our Highways. I have been in communication with Cllr Roy Galley for a while now, and he is arranging an onsite meeting with Highways/Steward and hopefully Rupert Clubb (Director. Communities, Economy and Transport),I also expect a few disgruntled local residents ! you are more than welcome to attend. Please communicate with Roy Galley for the date/time. regards. Deep pot hole by entrance to Blackland Farm, 16th November
Yet again previous repair has broken down leaving a deep pothole. There are yet again many areas of this road that have broken down making deep potholes in line with tyres in the middle of the road as well as on the edge of the road. There have been a number of vehicles left with blown tyres over the last 48 hours. Please can the full length of Grinstead Lane be surveyed properly and decent repairs done as some of the repairs could have been done better by my 5 year old!
