Flooding across road, 27th February
There is still flooding across the entire carriageway which freezes when the temperature falls. I have seen 3 accidents there where cars have hit the ice and left the road in the last 2 months. You've said before, it's run off from the fields, but it was continually flooding all last summer, so think the drainage needs sorting out.

Blocked drain again, 5th January
This has been an issue for years with all the run off filling the grate then blocking it. It now has flooded 3 lanes. Somone is sending the police who put up signs. This does not help. I have used a rake and un blocked it several times now but is becoming a safety concern for me to do it as motorists seem to ignore that I am unblocking it and drive very close to me. All the drinks leading up to it are blocked causing this bigger problem.

Flooding, 4th January
This section of the A272, by the junction with the B2111, gets waterlogged fairly regularly (I live opposite), but it is very badly flooded today with lots of semi-stationary cars. I have tried to report to Southern Water too, but can't get through on their phone line. Accident waiting to happen.

Water rushing across road, 11th November
There has been a large amount of water running across both carriageways for many months - even during the summer months - As the weather turns colder, this will likely freeze and cause a serious accident if it isn't dealt with as a matter of urgency. Also, if the water is coming from a fresh water main pipe, which I suspect it may be as it didn't subside in summer, it is wasting valuable water/money.

Deep and damaging unavoidable pothole, 10th November
There is a deep pothole near the side of the road which is difficult to see at night. It took my tyre out and broke my wheel. As I was pulling over the same damage was done to the next car. Must be repaired urgently as it could cause a more serious accident.

Flood - blocked drainage problem, 28th October
Flood covering westbound side of the road at this junction. Very dangerous as cars stopping and turning here also so little room for reaction time on this bend.

Flooding across main road, 16th May
The road has been beautifully resurfaced, but there seems to be an ongoing, continuous flooding issue on the bend down past Up Country Garden Centre and the lay-by adjacent to Little Teagues Farm as you head down Scaynes Hill. This would be lethal if it froze.
Water is running quite rapidly across the road at all times.

This big pothole - reported so many times by many - is still there on the A272 ok the bottom of Scaynes hill on the WEST SUSSEX side of the border - people constantly swerving to the opposite side of the road to avoid constant damage to their wheels ! Why hasn’t this been fixed ? This has been well over 6 months …

Pothole westbound on A272 at foot of Scaynes Hill, just after the road goes to two lanes up the hillj, 24th February
It might be surrounding a manhole cover. I think it is on or around the white line that separates the two lanes.
