On the A23, north of the recycling facility, there is a huge area of potholes and missing road surface. This extends across both carriageways. It has been deteriorating for literally years and is a road hazard as drivers swerve to avoid the worst of it, thanks

Huge area of road damage - repair not correct or full size, 18th April
This area of road, outside Davey’s Premier Express shop, is in a shocking state due to potholes and missing road surface. Some small repairs have been done, but they don’t even fill the spray painted area marked by the road assessor and in any case fail to address the problem as a large area requires complete resurfacing. This has been deteriorating for years. It is VERY important this is fixed, as the light industrial estate next to this junction is now the home of a bus company and, crucially, Redhill Ambulance Station. We cannot risk ambulances being damaged by potholes. Please close the lane, and completely resurface the whole area. This is a busy road for local traffic but it could be done overnight. Thank you.

LARGE pothole, 11th March
I have just had my council tax bill through the post, and I would like to advise my whole entire journey to work is a giant pot hole. I would be greatful if they are all filled in on Lonesome Lane, they are ruining the bottom of my car as the road in areas are too tight to miss them when other cars are coming in other directon. Although, I shouldn’t have to be swerving every 1 metre from a pot hole. My poor tyres!

Footpath is thick mud and is so slippery, 1st March
In order to get past it, you have to go up the grass bank adjacent to the highway. However this is also slippery and I lost my footing, nearly falling onto the busy highway. The mud on the footpath needs to be cleared away urgently. There is also too much debris from fallen branches and undergrowth.

Dangerous parking, 23rd February
Vehicles parking up on the kerb into a joint cycle/pedestrian footpath. This creates a dangerous pinch point for footpath users.
Additionally vehicles are parked on a corner on in a place marked with white crossed markings indicating no parking causing the road to be narrowed on a bend.

Traffic lights not working, 16th January
I drove through this route around 8:15 and the lights were not in operation either side of the junction so traffic moving along the A23 was affected. It is possible, that the Maple road and East Surrey Hospital lights were affected too.

No seating, 28th December
This new bus shelter has been provided with a couple of metal rails. I suppose they are meant to be seats but only for the most able who generally do not need them. No seating for the disabled, small children, or anyone who needs to sit while they wait - suggest remove useless rails and replace with proper seats
