Potholes and road surface, 26th April
As you come off new roundabout which now has traffic lights heading on the A24 towards Tanbridge house school junction all the way up to the first slip road, the middle of all the road has big potholes. There are potholes on the left-hand side of the left lane and I have seen numerous bikes who when moving over to go into the left lane, nearly fall off and wobble considerably as their back wheels slide out. There are holes in the centre of the road as well as in the left side of that lane. When moving over into either lane the back of your car slides out and there are no cats eyes along there either so at night it is difficult to avoid any holes as you can’t see due to no street lights along there either

Deadly flooding due to negligent council, 1st April
Every single time it rains, the entire carriageway is covered with 2” or more of surface water because the council FAILS to clear the drains, clear the gullies, repair the maintenance gullies. Reported repeatedly since October 23, and every ticket close. When challenged, the highways state they’ve been instructed to close ticket. But still remains unresolved. What will it take for the negligent council to act? Death?

Hedge encroaching on road, 9th June
Over the years the hedge on the opposite side to the village green has been encroaching onto the road. I have never seen it cut back except with the buses that travel this route. In order not to scratch your vehicle you have to travel over the middle line or stop if a larger vehicle is coming in opposite direction. The buses brush along this hedge with every journey and is the only thing that stops full encroachment. Please can you get this cut back.

Severe restriction to line of sight, 9th June
Junction of Robinhood Lane onto Bailing Hill (road from Warnham to Broadbridge Heath) has no clear line of sight to traffic. The verg growth on both sides of this junction has made visibility of traffic impossible unless you are several feet onto the road (Bailing Hill), which by then is too late if a vehicle is approaching. This has been an issue worsening each day for the last month.

Large pothole, 15th May
This is a long-standing (or sinking) pothole that is getting larger daily. There are multiple smaller ones in the same area. The problem here was caused by refurfacing the road and not fixing the potholes first which has only then made the problem worse.

Pothole around a drain on the main roundabout, 2nd April
There is a very large and deep pothole forming around the drain and it’s becoming extremely dangerous when going around the roundabout in the inside lane. This was developing months ago and seem to have been tarmaced over the whole area including the drain, but as cars and lorries have been going around this all the tarmac has come off uncovering the drain and then a very large hole to the side has developed. It will not be long until the width of a car tyre could easily get caught in this and cause serious damage or injury.
