Terrible road surface and potholes, 10th April
The state of the road in the bend out of Brimpton heading to the A4 is terrible. The top layer of road surface is severely damaged and there are potholes impossible to avoid with oncoming traffic.
Doesn’t help that this area has been permanently wet and heavily puddled since the start of the year.

Deep and scattered potholes heading from bridge to A4. Difficult to avoid without driving on the wrong side of the road of what is a blind bend. Previous patching has failed.

Traffic lights causing major traffic congestion, 9th January
Over the last week someone appears to have changed the light timings which is causing massive congestion and delays in both directions. It’s causing traffic to back up on to the main Thatchem to Reading road. Please reset

Large pothole on Back Lane causing damage to cars - puncture and replacement tyre needed!, 3rd November
Deep, broken, sharp pot hole on Back Lane has caused a puncture - it isn't visible as there is so much standing water on the road in that area, and isn't avoidable because of the single lane nature of the road.
So you drive through it before you even realise there is a huge chunk of the road missing.
It's extremely dangerous and damaging vehicles - it's on a section of road you naturally would be driving a lot slower as well before the corner. So imagine the damage if people were at speed!
It has punctured/sliced my front passenger tyre in 2 places. After hitting the pothole, I had a low pressure warning come on the car and I immediately took the car to Headley Tyres to get it checked - which revealed 2 massive gashes on the tyres from the pothole. The damage was £281.00 for a replacement due to that poorly maintained section of road.

The grass on the turning is now too tall for clear visibility when turning out of Brimpton Road onto the A4. Also there is a roadwork sign restricting visibility.

There are several potholes on or near blind bends along this entire stretch of road. The surface where utilities are excavated and back-filled are crumbling away, and there is significant degradation/potholes along the edge of the carriageway where there are no solid kerbs, just verge.
