Parking in turning circle, 26th April

Fri, 26 Apr 2024 07:23:55 +0100
51.42405 -0.775468

We live in a cul-de-sac and have a neighbour who routinely parks 2 of their vehicles in the turning circle. This makes it difficult for vehicles, especially large ones such as ambulances, to turn around. The situation is only made worse by the number of other vehicles that park on the street/pavement including opposite junctions making it difficult to actually drive down the road on the correct side. This has been happening since before we moved in in December 2020.

No. 65 has had a delivery of stone chippings/sand and it was dumped all over the road & pavement so now its completely blocked the pavement. You have to walk around the whole dumping, out onto the road. The pavement is impassable. No cones around any of the building materials.

Maidenhead Road - very dangerous string of potholes, 25th April

Thu, 25 Apr 2024 00:35:54 +0100
51.436245 -0.750084

These have been there for over a year, but in the last few months the tarmac has disintegrated. Too dangerous to stop and measure, but these are several inches deep, spread across a third of the carriageway, and go on for at least 2 car lengths. I am amazed this has not been repaired as a priority. At best, cars are at risk of severe damage, at worst there could be a serious crash. This must be attended to as a matter of urgency.

Dangerous Junction, 11th April

Thu, 11 Apr 2024 11:13:26 +0100
51.423824 -0.786335

I have attached a photograph of the third vehicle that has crashed through these gates in the last five years. I have police incident numbers and photographs for all three if needed. Speaking with the local residents, they report frequent accidents and near misses at this junction. It seems that this is a particularly hazardous turning and is at high risk of a serious injury or death if not addressed. This junction should be investigated to consider installing a mini roundabout or some other traffic calming but not inhibiting measure.

It's to the right hand side of the LEFT hand lane this time, just as you are about to enter onto the roundabout. Last time, you fixed it really quickly - thank you.

Hazardous Pothole on Maidenhead Road, Newell Green (///drank.leave.slick) Needs Immediate Repair, 4th April

Thu, 04 Apr 2024 14:56:31 +0100
51.436307 -0.750104

I would like to report a large deep hazardous pothole that urgently requires attention. The pothole is situated on Maidenhead Road in Newell Green. The precise location can be pinpointed using the what3words address: ///drank.leave.slick Description of the issue: The pothole is on the edge of a previously repaired section of the road, close to the curb line. The dimensions of the pothole are significant enough to cause potential damage to vehicles, especially tires and suspension systems. There is standing water in the pothole, which indicates that it may be deep and could worsen with further rainfall or traffic. The edges of the pothole are fragmented, suggesting that the area around it is unstable and may lead to further disintegration of the road surface. Loose gravel and debris are scattered around the pothole, presenting additional risks to both vehicles and cyclists, especially those who might not see the pothole in time to avoid it. This pothole poses a significant safety risk to motorists and cyclists alike and could lead to vehicle damage or accidents, especially under poor visibility conditions. Given the location and the potential for harm, I urge the relevant department to prioritize this repair. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I trust that the issue will be addressed swiftly to ensure the safety of all road users.
