Steps closed again, 14th February
The steps were opened last month and have been in use up until yesterday. The owners of the house next to the steps have told me highways have chained and locked the gate ?
Can you please confirm highways chained and locked the gate and not themselves. Although this is a footpath they’ve informed me that they don’t like people using it.

Blocked drain and flooding, 25th January
Yesterday morning 24th Jan there were contractors which I spoke to and they were clearing drains, doing cameras in the drains and doing the whole of harts lane and breachfield. However when I got home that evening I found that the drain on harts lane that's been flooded for months now had not been done as it was and still is flooded this morning too. continuously for 14 years I have reported these drains and for decades has the village. It's causing a risk as cars frequently drive well over the 30mph speed limit probably closer to 40/50mph and as we have 3 schools and no street lights it gets dangerous in the winter when it freezes as it goes all over the pavements. I was assured by email that this would be done on 24th January but it has not

Steps to footpath closure, 2nd January
The steps up to the footpath have been closed for some time. The alternative path is not fit for purpose as it goes up an incline and very muddy, I myself and countless others have slipped down, this will at some point cause an injury. Twice last year I’ve taken upon to cut back the vegetation as it was overgrown.
Also the owners of Palady Sping have cut down trees on the boundary of their property and the footpath.

Flooding / No Drainage, 1st January
This is an ongoing problem in this area. With the influx of wet weather ,unfortunately the flood has been there a number of weeks and not draining away. Our concern is if we get more rain it will obviously flood a wider space, but we are due for cold weather. If that freezes the road will be a hazard for any driver .

Highway drains harts lane near breachfield, 30th August
Highway drains harts lane near breachfield Constantly smelling of sewage and filling the area with such a foul smell. All drains on harts lane have been damaged for many many years. Earlier this year I spoke to contractor contracted by Hampshire highways to sort the issues with the drains who said there is a big problem all along the road but was only given 1 day to complete and said they can’t do it in that time. Not seen them back since. It needs sorting. Constant sewage smells, constant blocking and flooding

Pot hole taking up nearly whole road into woodlands, 4th August
This has been on ongoing issue with this road for well over a year. The holes keep getting bigger, you have to try and drive on other side of the road to enter or leave the estate as there are numerous huge holes. Cars have been damaged and it’s dangerous. I don’t currently have a photo but someone needs to come and assess the road as it’s awful. Been like this for over a year and just getting worse.

Drain is sinking into road. Driving along the road following a HGV and it passed over the drain and flipped up the cover. Luckily avoided it as it fell back into place. But this is an accident waiting to happen. I think it needs inspecting properly and securing.

Big potholes still remain after work, 4th May
Even though some patches have been repaired along here there are many big potholes that still remain. When will the council simply resurface this road? How much is it costing to patch repair every few weeks? Surely money could be saved by just re-surfacing.
