Potholes / road surface, 23rd February
On the eastbound carriageway, lanes 1 & 2 approx. one mile leading up to Membury services the road has multiple potholes and the road surface is severely deteriorated. This has been getting worse over the last few months and will start to cause damage to car wheels/tyres if not rectified soon.

Lane 1 and 2 are in appalling condition with large holes and very uneven road surface. These problems have existed for at least two years and inevitably are getting worse and more dangerous as car will hit this at 70mph

Potholes all along road from Baydon to Wickham this is getting worse after all the m4 traffic was forced this way for several days potholes are now causing damage to tyres

Large potholes, 23rd December
There are very dangerous potholes eastbound on the M4 alongside Membury Services Station, as you turn off to Membury but particularly as you exit into lane one. It appears this has already been reported but no action has been taken. I swerved into the middle lane and very nearly had a car accident. For cars to hit all the potholes at 70mph, particularly in the dark and the one on exit in lane one, is highly dangerous. Please don’t delay fixing this.

Very poor road surface., 13th December
The Eastbound carriageway of the M4 for approximately 1km either side of Membury Services is extremely bad, and has been for some time. Road surface is uneven and breaking up and there is a 'trough' at the interface of the lanes (roughly where road markings would be) which may be the result of poor construction/water ingress. (This seems to be a very common problem throughout the major road system of the UK). A situation that is extremely hazardous for two-wheeled vehicles. This section is in urgent need of a thorough and workmanlike resurfacing; not just patching/refinishing.

Large number of potholes on eastbound M4 on approach to Membury services, 26th March
Many potholes on the M4 especially 10 miles before the Membury services ( driving east) and 1 mile after the service station. Many holes are along the border between middle lane and slowest lane, though several holes are also in the carriageways themselves. Please advise when this section of the M4 will be resurfaced. 200 yard countdown marker not facing the traffic ., 25th March
