Caved in Road Surface, 2nd December
There is a number of "canyons" and "valleys" on the right hand side going westbound due to earth sinking most likely. They seem to be there for years, it is a pretty busy road with multiple HGVs going back and forth on a daily basis doing pick ups from farms. The street light is also very limited/non existing in certain sections that makes this very dangerous surface to any car.

Sinking road, 28th June
The road here has sunk to the extent that taller vehicles now almost tip over when driving across it. It floods in the rain and will cause a serious incident as it worsens. Its a sinkhole that hasn't opened up yet.

I work for United Utilities and your surface dressing contractor has filled the sewer network with stone chippings and caused a number of issues which we will have to recharge to yourselves., 28th May
The surface dressing contractor has filled the public sewer with his material and caused sever flooding problems to properties in the area, he has also rebuilt a manhole to a poor standard without our permission we will be recharging the contractor through yourselves for the problems he has caused us. i have tried to contact you over the phone with no success and we have had a number of complaints since so i need to take to the next stage.

Potholes and badly maintained road along the majority of New Lane Pace including failed repairs., 29th February
The road has potholes along its length in several areas, the problem is ongoing with attempted repairs that are failing. The whole road is dangerous to vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians and needs resurfacing.

2 very large depressions about 30 metres apart., 6th November
These large holes have been there for at least 4 months and are getting worse. You can only safely drive over them at 10mph. Any cyclist hitting them would come of the bike.

The front nearside spring snapped when I hit the pothole, 24th February
My Audi A6 was damaged when I hit the pothole. The force was so bad the spring snapped. This is the third spring on my car which has snapped in the past year because of poor road surfaces in the area and this is the last I am willing to pay for. It cost me £220 to have it repaired. The mechanic said it had completely snapped. There was no rust to suggest it was worn. The damage was caused by the pothole. As can be seen on the photo the pothole is so deep the strengthening mesh under the surface is visible. I am claiming compensation for the damage caused to my car. I have the receipt for the spring repair. New Lane pace is full of quite deep potholes which drivers need to try to avoid. I cannot understand that one pothole has been repaired further along the road. Would it not be cost effective when a team is sent out to repair one pothole that they could repair the rest on the road to save more complaints and claims for compensation. I look forward to your early reply.

Approx 10 inch pothole, 2nd February
This particular pothole is approx 10 inch in length. A metal type mesh is visible. This appears to be the most serious pothole however there appears to be many more developing on this road. Unfortunately this pothole has caused damage to my car.

Potholes and subsidence, 30th June
The entire length of this road from the Marsh Road T-junction across the two Crossroads to the T junction at the opposite end so the best part of a mile and a half our suffering major subsidence and potholes. Today this has caused me to damage the front wheel and fork seals on a Harley-Davidson what whilst proceeding at no more than 30 miles per hour. It's appalling the section between the two Crossroads is particularly foul as there are sections more than 4 feet across the Road subsiding causing you to be directed towards the six feet deep ditches at the sides. There will be an accident here where somebody loses control due to this subsidence
