Numerous potholes and loose manhole cover, 3rd July
There are numerous potholes along the A586, especially in this area. There is also a loose manhole cover on the carriageway leading to Garstang outside of The Mad Hunter restaurant and Rowanwater residential lodge park. This makes a terrible clanging noise every time a lorry goes over it and the road shakes. It is very disturbing to us and our neighbours and seems to be getting worse.

Potholes causing property issues, 26th February
We moved to this property in September last year. Whilst it was apparent that traffic does not adhere to the speed limit through the village and the road surface was greatly in need of repair we have now watched a series of previously “patched up potholes” increase in size and depth in front of our property. This has consequently resulted in HGVs driving through the village at speed and breaking at the corner near Rawcliffe Road... as the vehicle enters the pothole it is causing severe house vibrations which appear to be getting worse. I strongly urge for this road to be resurfaced to help prevent structural damage to surrounding properties.

Large loss of tarmac on the end of the bridge, 25th March
On the side of the bridge nearest to St. Micheals garage and the Grapes, a large piece of tarmac has come away which the can be felt as you drive over it, there is also some smaller potholes than need filling in between the Bridge and the Garage.

Deep pothole on south side of road for traffic heading towards. St, MICHAELS. ITS IN THE OFFSIDE PATH OF CAR TYRES AND ON A LEFT HAND BEND, IF HIT AT SPEED IE ANYTHING OVER 30 MPH IT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE OR INJURY TO MOTORIST/ MOTORCYCLIST.

Sever road deterioratioin for about 4/5 meters on both sides and s,itht n bend under trees with poor visibility to road users, 13th November
The road further up the road [ east]at Corner wood has been resurfaced . However a hundred metres west and closer to St Michaels on a slight bend was worse and still is an area of severe degradation that needs to be re surfaces to make it anything like safe again. Its a slight bend and beneath trees which makes it difficult to see .and therefore deal with.

Surface water flooding due to blocked drains, 14th October

Large area of uneven and dangeroius road surface., 16th April
On Hall Lane just about half a mile east towards Myerscoiugh. An area some 3/4 metres in length and the full width of the road has broken up and its on a slight bend and in the dark away from sunlight as its below trees. This makes it very hard to see. The road surface has completely broken up and the surface no longer exist. It is therefore extremely dangerous to vehicles, particularly those on two wheels such as cyclists as it could unseat an unwary rider and throw them into the the path of any oncoming other vehicles. Its been reported being bad since December 2017 and needs urgent repair. before someone is killed or is seriously injured.
