This is seriously dangerous, the condition of the road is appalling and I’ve witness are several cars swerve into my lane to avoid this treacherous section of carriageway. It’s beyond acceptable….if someone dies as a result I hope the council is prosecuted for corporate manslaughter.

Deep dangerous pothole, 9th May
This pothole was fixed only 2 weeks ago when a team came out and filled it 2 inches shy of the actual road surface. The hole is now back to the substrate yet again and people are swerving into the opposing carriageway to avoid it. This is an accident waiting to happen. It needs fixing properly.

White lines….where are they?, 2nd May
And yet another incident on the Fishbourne Roundabout as reported in The News, Portsmouth on 1st May due, l am sure, to the dangerous lack of markings . I know that l have contacted you before as have many other concerned motorists. I note that you have updated details of when the lines are to be repainted and you quote by the end of summer 2024. Hopefully work will commence sooner than that as visitors to this area will add even more motorists trying to negotiate this impossible roundabout.

Uneven and dangerous paving, 29th April
I have to use the pedestrian precincts surrounding the Cross. The uneven surface has caused damage to my mobility scooter. The variable surface is a nightmare to pedestrians.

Deads animals x 6, 28th April
Heading eastbound on the A27 towards fishbourne roundabout we saw a badger, a deer and several foxes all within 1 mile. I have never seen so many dead animals so close together. Either your staff are not removing these animals, or there has been very reckless driving. It was really disturbing.

Pothole, 20th April
Between Hunston Ridging Stables and Hunston Chambers there is a large hole . Large enough to damage a car tyre if hit at any kind of speed. It is becoming dangerous now as you have to go over into the next carriageway to avoid it.

Large Pot Hole, 4th April
Outside the substation there is a very large pothole that has reappeared. It was fixed recently but this has now broken up and currently being hidden by a large puddle of water. The stones and tarmac are being strewn across the carriage way which is causing additional issues.
