A286 Orchard Street, near right hand turn into the city walls towards Chapel Street - on the A286, much broken road surface, rocks the car, holes, ruts, more like a cart track. More lethal still for bikes or cycles.

I have to use the pedestrian precincts surrounding the Cross. The uneven surface has caused damage to my mobility scooter. The variable surface is a nightmare to pedestrians.

Overgrown weeds that are so high they are growing over and under our fence . This particular part by Stockbridge roundabout hasn't been cut in years . And looks awful., 1st April

This ‘road’ is a joke - more holes than road now, 28th March
The entire length of Orchard Street is literally falling apart under the weight of traffic. It is now one long pothole from the County Offices to Northgate roundabout. Having a diversion in place for years for building supplies on an industrial scale to access the new build estate must be at least partially responsible?

Traffic delays caused by unnecessarily narrow road, 28th March
The road here always seems poor, but this comment is about the road layout which could be easily improved.. Traffic turning right towards Oving always slows the traffic trying to cross the railway, and if you do not get across the railway you have to wait until the barriers go up again. There is plenty of room exactly opposite the Oving road where the road could be widened, allowing traffic to pass towards Shopwhyke - and crosing the railway more quickly.

Tarmac around a metal cover, 28th March
The tarmac around the metal drain cover is deteriorating quickly. This was repaired a couple of years ago but at that time was quite a big undertaking closing the south bound carriageway. So better to do it now perhaps - "a stitch in time saves nine!"
