Flooding hiding ditch and cars going too fast, 19th February
Due to fly tipping, ditches become blocked and cars going too fast two vehicles tonight stuck in the ditch. This has been reported and nothing gets done.
I would suggest ditches dredged, camera put up to catch fly tipping and speed reduction to 20mph. The man in the van had no choice to move over for a speeding car and thought the surface was firm and safe because he couldn’t see the ditch. It’s a matter of time someone becomes the victim of something more serious.

A large and mature oak tree at an acute angle over Salterns Lane., 1st February
A mature oak tree is positioned on what appears to be a verge and maybe the responsibility of the Council or it maybe on private property. Hard to tell! This tree has been at an angle for many years but it seems more acute now. It also shows signs of disease on its trunk about halfway up. At present the tree does not display a full canopy but when it does the weight will create stress on the roots and base of the tree. Maybe the trunk of disease has developed. If this tree should fall then the potential for serious injury or worse and damage will be great. Certainly the road will be blocked!
For peace of mind tree experts should examine the tree to establish its condition and determine all aspects of its condition and whether it is safe to remain in situ.
If the tree is the responsibility of a private resident then I am sure the relevant authority will inform and advise that person as to their responsibilities.
