Blocked drains causing flooding, 15th March
In June 2019 a 6 metre length of hedgerow was unlawfully removed by a neighbouring farmer. In the centre of the new entrance is a road drain which is now frequently covered in mud and blocked. In addition to road water the field drains toward the new opening, consequently a large volume of additional water is flowing onto the road and onto my property. The drain need re-siting.

Highway drain set too high so water runs across the highway, fills our cattle grid and flows down our drive flooding our courtyard in heavy rain. Damage is being caused to the cattle grid and cornish entrance wall which are slumping and the surface of our drive is being washed away and our yard is silting up with highways water.i, 9th February
Opposite the entrance drive to Hale Farmhouse,St Kew, PL30 3HE there is a highway drain in Pennytinney lane. The road was resurfaced in May 2015 and the resurfacing leading to the drain is raised too high resulting in surface water running across the highway before it reaches the drain and flowing into our cattle grid and down our drive into our courtyard. The cattle grid has slumped and the entrance wall on the East side is being undermined. The surface of our drive is being washed away and our courtyard is being flooded during heavy rain and is covered in silt that is being washed down the drive. The camber and drain needs to be lowered in the highway so that water is directed towards the drain and ditch that runs into the stream away from our entrance as there is water damage being caused to our property. We did talk to Cormac about the issue when the road was being resurfaced but they did not have instructions to reset the drain or lower the camber in May last year.
