Daily litter thrown from vehicles, 21st March
I walk my dog everyday and pick up litter, such as food wrappings from supermarkets or Macdonalds. But the worst thing is lager cans which are thrown each and every day, sometimes several a day from the turn off at London apprentice up past little Polgooth. It is obviously a cut through for trade vans. With new takeaways opening in London apprentice we really need signs, bins etc in the area. Also worrying as people are drinking and driving. This is worse in the summer but has been continuous problem even in lockdown. I think there must be a litter levy on takeaway businesses and supermarkets which is paid to local councils to periodically pick up litter down some of our major routes ie st Austell to Mevagissey, plus signage and litter campaigns and imposition of fines. The problem has occurred since we have lived here-5 years but it has definitely got more pronounced in the last year.
