Flooding O/S Tregain Cottage, PL26b 6EU., 2nd May
This is an ongoing flooding problem.See ref: W185515 and W186221. I have contacted the council at least six times. I was told that Martin Wherry would contact me, to date I have heard nothing. I have sent photos of the water problem. But was told it is within the guide lines of the Councils Highways maintanance Manual. Today at 0900hours the road is flooded again, after a short shower. The problem is simple. The drain is blocked and so is the pipe from the drain to the river. It needs unblocking, probably by jetting it. Job Done. Men come round when it is flooded, they can't find the drain. Then leave, knock on my door and I will show them where it is.........SIMPLES ! Yesterday they repaired the two large potholes opposite the drain, GREAT..if you don't sort the cause out, you will be back soon to repair the road again. You don't mend a broken leg with a sticking plaster. Rant over.
