Poor road condition, 14th January
The surface of this road beyond Trelay Farm is deteriorating badly. Repairs have been minimal, not well executed leaving many parts where walking is becoming dangerous. Many section at the edges of the road are disappearing, The road needs some serious maintenance if it is not to become another lost Cornish route. There is a significant amount of daily traffic and many vehicles use the road as a shortcut to Duloe etc.

Damaged pavements, 4th May
Having reported the pothole and damage to pavement I have discovered that more damage than I thought had been done in several section of pavement in Cardwen Estate. Much of this appeared to have been caused by the road sweeper vehicle, but damage is also caused by cars parking on pavements and driving over kerb stones. Additionally I have noted that damage has been caused to the surfaces of pavements in other areas pf Pelynt village. Please have a thorough look at all pavements to ensure that that are safe for particularly older residents and young families

Between numbers 8 and (9 Cardwen Estate Pelynt an old pothole has had the surface damaged over recent weeks, and today the road sweeping machine has taken of almost all of the filling from the pothole. It has also damaged the pavement in the same area and in other parts of the pavement. Some of the damage has been caused by vehicles parking on the pavement. Contiouous flooding, 9th January
Same problem at this junction despite the fact that it had fixed, which it had not.
This whole section of road for a length of about 1 mile east of Pelynt suffers from excess surface water and flooding every time it rains (Cormac only check in dry weather). The drainage of surface water has been much worse since the recent resurfacing and is due to bad cambers and lack of drains. As explained previously the drain on the corner (marked) has been blocked for a long time and Cormac appear to believe that by cleaning the drains they are also clearing the soakaways. This is obviously incorrect and the soakaways (often pipes along this section of road) are blocked. Viewing the whol road from Taphouse to Looe it is clear that few of the drains (soakaways) are working correctly. Last night in thick fog the flood on the corner and the surface water was difficult to see, and today the road has been completely flooded and is dangerous. Time for Cormac to stand up for their responsibility and put road safety first and stop wasting our money on slipshod work.

Serious flooding on corner, 23rd September
Despite all of the work and expense on the B3359 east of Pelynt, at the first wet weather we are yet again subjected to a number of areas which flood every time it does rain. I am sure that with the wonderful technology and expertise that you have available, it should not take a rocket scientist to work out that most of the drains on this section are completely blocked. Drain cleaning should involve much more than just sucking up water from the culverts and drain openings. It is more than obvious that probably all of the drains in this section have soakaways which are either completely blocked or which have collapsed or which have never existed. There is nowhere for water to drain to, consequently we get floods/dangerous pools each time it rains I have written before on this matter, to no avail. Please do something constructive to reduce these dangerous hazards before the winter weather sets in. I would hate to think that having been notified of the problems that any lack on your part to improve a dangerous situation may lead to a serious accident
