"sleeping policeman" totally eroded and large potholes all around it, 12th July

Wed, 12 Jul 2017 17:25:36 +0100
50.48739 -4.213044

I have just had my car's exhaust system renewed for the SECOND TIME and I am sure it is due to the perilous state of the road at this point, and all the way down to the bottom of the hill there are potholes and the sides of the tarmac are eroded. I have been told that this road will be repaired "this summer" but no further information has been forthcoming.

Multiple potholes all over this road, 12th February

Ever-deepening pothole in front of sleeping policeman at western exit/entrance of Helston Farmyard, several more potholes at close intervals all along western edge of this road towards the bend. Road surface in an extremely bad condition all the way down to the X roads outside Ward Mine Farm and Ward Cottage. Also several wide potholes in road leading off Ferry Lane into Helston Farmyard. If any damage to my vehicle is sustained from these potholes, I will have no option but to charge the local council for the repairs.

Black plastic bags of domestic refuse in layby at side of the road leading from Collins Bridge to junction with Ward Lane. First noticed last week and more bags have been added to the heap this week, despite refuse vehicle having passed this location on at least 4 occasions, the rubbish remains until the foxes get at it I suppose and distribute it all over the road.

On southern edge of unmarked lane known as Ward Lane, 17th August

Mon, 17 Aug 2015 14:45:02 +0100
50.487945 -4.214854

There are multiple potholes at southern edge of this single track road which serves 3 properties. The whole road seems to be cracking up parallel with the edge and slipping gradually into the steep field below (to the south). The potholes have been present since the winter of 2014/15, and cracks in the road surface have been evident since that time and are currently worsening.

Shoddy work at baber lane, st. dominic, 19th August

Mon, 19 Aug 2013 12:31:02 +0100
50.488496659727 -4.255131393417

6 weeks ago your officer marked out the pot holed areas for repair. 3 weeks ago 10% were filled, leaving the remaining 90% un touched. This lane is the only access for some 60 houses and part of it has no pavements. Vehicles have to use the wrong side of the road to negotiate some of the holes. It represents a continuing danger to vehicles, pedestrians and children going to School.

Speed limit, 20th August

Fri, 20 Aug 2010 08:02:53 +0100
50.485450425001 -4.24953392663112

Despite being inside the 30 MPH area, the section of road marked,ie from the Who`d Have Thought It Inn towards the village centre is notorious for speeding. This appears to be because it is a very straight stretch of road & seems to encourage speed. Just around the corner travelling west there is St Dominick school & the children are in danger of being run over by speeding cars. Could some sort of traffic calming system be put in,as seen in MANY other areas of Cornwall?
