Please litter pick this road., 15th February
Peterborough City Council, the A1 has nightly closures until April along the soundboumd carriageway from Wothorpe to Wansford. Why are you not using this as an opportunity to clear the verges of debris & litter? This is so fustrating to see, you haven't cleansed this road for years and have had ample opportunities to do this safely and cost effectively. Please arrange for Aragon to litter pick this major road. It is long overdue.

Litter, 12th January
I presume you aren't using the 16 week nightly closure of the A1 Southbound from Stamford to Wansford as an opportunity to get the disgusting amount of litter, debris, car parts, abandoned road work equipment and other waste cleared from the verges/central reservation? Let me guess... 'not our responsibility'. Please contact PCC and get them to liaise with your contractors and arrange for the area to be litter picked. Let's also see how much mess Martin traffic management leave once the works have finished.

See the article in Stamford , this exact situation will happen down first drift , the water collects down the drift and settles at the end of the road /Junction, its not long before a major accident will happen. I have reported this before and nothing happens . it makes the junction hazardous for drivers and people and school children on foot

Litter, 7th January
The verges of the A1 from Stamford to Wansford (&beyond) is absolutely covered litter/debris. I ask when was the last time you as a council litter picked this road?
National Highways have nightly closures on the Southbound carriageway all next week. I imagine you won't be using this as an opportunity to litter pick? This would also save you money too.

Council land, 25th October
Your previous Head of Environmental Partnerships arranged for this land to be blocked off at the start of the year due to the issue of flytipping. The issue has dramatically reduced but there are still occasions of flytipping. It has always been collected, but for some reason you're now saying it isn't your land. These tubs of old cooking oil have been dumped behind one of the concrete blocks. A block that was placed by PCC. You would not have blocked off someone else's land. This is definitely owned by yourselves. Please can you arrange for this flytipping to be collected. Thank you

Missing manhole cover, 25th October
I reported this missing/broken manhole cover along the B1081 near the Burghley golf course back in July.
You told me that you weren't responsible for this and to contact the local water company.
I reported it to Anglia water, they have since told me that they aren't the asset owner and the local council need to fix it. It has been left uncompleted with a few cones/barrier around it.
Please can you advise further regarding who is responsible for replacing this cover?
Thank you

This is not Private land,, 19th October
To PCC,
I've reported this flytipping twice now and your latest reply was that it is on private land therefore Aragon direct won't clear it.
This is incorrect, this is definitely council owned land. It is part of the B1081 (London Road) and was the old slip road onto the A1 (See image attached).
The road was blocked off by yourselves at the start of the year due to the issue of flytipping. I have reported flytipping numerous times previously at this same location and it has always been collected by Aragon Direct.
Please can you inform Aragon direct to collect this flytipping.
It is directly behind one of the concrete blocks you used to block off access.
Thank you

Rubbish dumped on verge, 15th October
I have seen today 15th October 2023, about 20 black bin bags and several boxes containing "equipment for growing plants". If you are entering Racecourse Road from the Easton on the Hill. They are on the right hand side. They are on the verge. They are next to the field entrance. They have been clearly dumped. I would very much appreciate it, if they could be removed.
