FIXMYSTREET IN PE32 1PS
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of PE32 1PS:
Very Large Pothole, 27th October
Large deep pot hole at the side of the Gayton bound road, somewhere between the two sharp bends, either before the 40 speed limit sign, or along the roadside between the speed limit sign and the sharp bend/ pedestrian in road warning signs. It was dark, and it caused a bang and jolt as the cars wheel went over it. It needs repairing before it causes damage to a vehicle, or injury to a cyclist. There’s no street lighting to make the pot hole visible

Hatched slip road still being used, 9th June
The old slip road coming from the B1153 onto the eastbound carriageway on the A47 has recently had markings added to inform drivers not to use this. As a driver who drives past this junction regularly, I appreciate this as it has definitely led to less near-misses as previously cars would try and push their way out and cause people already on the A47 to suddenly brake. However, quite often I see people still trying to use this now non-used slip road. Can something be added to prevent cars being able to drive on this, even if it's a small traffic island with arrow sign preventing cars from being able to use it?

Large, Dangerous Pothole - Westbound side of Carriageway A47 around drain outside property of The Cottage PE321HU, 19th April
There is a very large pothole around a drainway area on A47 westbound outside property of The Cottage, PE321HU. This location is between Gayton turning by Norfolk Woods Park and Pentney Lane. This is causing noise, but more importantly we can hear vehicles hitting it at speed, this is getting worse by the day, it has been there for around 4-6 weeks. Already one car has stopped outside with a double puncture.

Hatching on joining lane, 6th March
Following recent nighttime roadwork, what was a joining lane to A47 eastbound has now been removed. This was one of the safer junctions to join the A47 not just between Kings Lynn and Swaffham but out of the whole length. Adding the hatching has only increased congestion and increased pollution due to vehicles having to stop if a car in front is turning right, all to save a few m2 of less road to maintain. Please rectify

Road Surface is breaking up - large potholes, 21st February
The road surface on the A47 is in a dreadful condition from the junction of the B11563 heading towards Kings Lynn for about a mile. It is so bad now you have to swerve from side to side to avoid hitting the series of potholes along this stretch of road. I have reported it before but not action has been taken. The road surface is breaking up and it gets worse every week as the tarmac crumbles. Stones are being thrown up from the loose rubble, it is in a very dangerous condition.

Fractured road surface, 25th December
Large sections of the road surface on the east bound side of the A47 between East Winch and the turn off to the B1153 is breaking up, particularly the red tarmac surface. There are potholes on this stretch as well on the west-bound carriageway. It is in very poor condition and has been for many months, if not years. The road has been patched up in places but is breaking up, it needs a proper repair.

Keep left sign has been dislodged from its base at A47 junction, 27th November
This is not within the NCC maintained highway boundary and presumably falls under Highways England to maintain. Please could this be looked into and made safe. This is an unlit junction with an island in the centre of the carriageway.
