Outside lane from Alconbury to Spittals turnoff, 17th February

Sat, 17 Feb 2024 17:52:54 +0000
52.365469 -0.237812

The road surface in the outside lane from Alconbury to Spittals junction is very uneven in places with potholes and worn surfaces and this causes the car to not travel smoothly and can be dangerous especially in the dark as you cannot see where the uneven areas might be. And at 50 - 70 mph this can be unsafe. I have been driving this road for many months now and this has been present for a long time and nothing seems to be being done about it.

Traffic cones, 30th May

Mon, 30 May 2022 20:29:26 +0100
52.379381 -0.256397

Traffic cones, sign frame left in the emergency lay-by on a14/a1 flyover. Has been there for around 3/4 years or whenever the road opened. I thought you carry out bi-monthly inspections (which you shouldn't need to do if your workers actually cleared up after themselves). Please clear up all this mess. The whole stretch A14/A1 is littered with your equipment.

Incorrect signage at end of motorway, 17th June

Thu, 17 Jun 2021 16:15:17 +0100
52.360659 -0.254798

Where motorway restrictions end on the A1(M) there is no co-located NSL sign. Due to the area being lit that means the speed limit on the A1 is 30mph. I presume that isn't supposed to be correct and there ought to be a NSL sign there. Also the End of motorway regulation signs are staggered on either side by about 70 meters, so that isn't clear where the motorway regs actually end. All of this wouldn't be an issue if it was given motorway designation to begin with.
