FIXMYSTREET IN PE28 4XA
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of PE28 4XA:
Outside lane from Alconbury to Spittals turnoff, 17th February
The road surface in the outside lane from Alconbury to Spittals junction is very uneven in places with potholes and worn surfaces and this causes the car to not travel smoothly and can be dangerous especially in the dark as you cannot see where the uneven areas might be. And at 50 - 70 mph this can be unsafe. I have been driving this road for many months now and this has been present for a long time and nothing seems to be being done about it.

Traffic cones, 30th May
Traffic cones, sign frame left in the emergency lay-by on a14/a1 flyover. Has been there for around 3/4 years or whenever the road opened. I thought you carry out bi-monthly inspections (which you shouldn't need to do if your workers actually cleared up after themselves). Please clear up all this mess. The whole stretch A14/A1 is littered with your equipment.

Piles of litter on the verges of the old A14, made worse by the cutting of the verges which has uncovered tons of historic litter and shredded it into 1000s pieces. Highways England why do you persistently do this? Why do you not arranged litter picking simultaneously or liase with local councils if not your responsibility? Can this stretch be cleared please.

Incorrect signage at end of motorway, 17th June
Where motorway restrictions end on the A1(M) there is no co-located NSL sign. Due to the area being lit that means the speed limit on the A1 is 30mph. I presume that isn't supposed to be correct and there ought to be a NSL sign there. Also the End of motorway regulation signs are staggered on either side by about 70 meters, so that isn't clear where the motorway regs actually end.
All of this wouldn't be an issue if it was given motorway designation to begin with.
