FIXMYSTREET IN PE28 4HP
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of PE28 4HP:
Faulty Speed Camera, 20th March
Have been travelling on the A1 Southbound between Alconbury and Brampton Hut for quite a few weeks now. On two separate occasions whilst travelling southbound I have noticed the speed camera flash randomly at cars that are going well under the speed limit, eg following a lorry. Tonight I was travelling northbound and the same southbound camera flashed twice and there wasn't actually a car on that part of the road, There was quite a significant gap in the traffic. I believe this has been reported a few times and also on local social media.

Outside lane from Alconbury to Spittals turnoff, 17th February
The road surface in the outside lane from Alconbury to Spittals junction is very uneven in places with potholes and worn surfaces and this causes the car to not travel smoothly and can be dangerous especially in the dark as you cannot see where the uneven areas might be. And at 50 - 70 mph this can be unsafe. I have been driving this road for many months now and this has been present for a long time and nothing seems to be being done about it.

Gantry not displaying temporary speed limit, 26th January

No speed displayed on gantry, 25th January
A1 southbound between B1043 and A141. Speed camera flashed me twice but no speed limit displayed on electronic gantry sign. The first visible limit you pass states 50. Then the next gantry along is blank, no speed limit displayed - this is where the camera is flashing. The next gantry after this states 40. I think the blank gantry should be reading 40 but the sign is not working. Video taken on dash cam.

Collect your equipment, 26th September
A number of abandoned large sign frames etc on the A1M (Northbound) before Alconbury exit. Been left here for a number of months. Why is this equipment abandoned? This is littering and sets an awful example to road users. It also costs money and should be reused. Please collect all this equipment.
