Large amount of accumulating litter on strip of land between Sainsburys car park and George Hotel carpark, 21st April
For about a year now, there has been a steadily accumulating pile of rubbish and litter on a strip of overgrown land, which is situated between Sainsburys car park and the car park of the George Hotel. Sadly this build up of litter and rubbish has become much worse in recent weeks, despite my best efforts as a volunteer litter picker to keep on top of it. While on a litter pick today I witnessed a large rat on this strip of land feeding on the waste food and drink which is intermingled with the rubbish and litter. The rat disappeared down a hole on the same strip of land. It has now got to the stage where the reoccurring pile of rubbish and litter has got beyond my ability to control, and help from the local authority is now needed. As a supermarket and a public house are so close by, this build up of rubbish and litter really does need to be removed to prevent a serious vermin problem in the vicinity, and a risk to public health. The strip of land lies behind a low wall on the side of the George Hotel's car park, and an embankment on the side of Sainsburys car park. Spilsby Town Council have advised me recently that any matter pertaining to litter and rubbish must be reported to LCC/ELDC, and not them. If some professionals could be brought in by LCC/ELDC to just clear the large build up of rubbish and litter it would be a great help, as no one else seems to care about it. Thank you.

Disintegrating litter bin leaking rubbish out on to road, 16th April
I have reported the fact that a litter bin on the corner of Ancaster Avenue and Boston Road in Spilsby has disintegrated to the point where litter is now leaking out on to the road way to Spilsby Town Council. Spilsby Town Council have advised me today that I need to report it to LCC road and highways for the litter bin to be replaced. The bin itself is beyond viable repair.

Halton road between number 68 and 101. Middle of the road, heading out of spilsby towards Halton holegate., 14th April
The road is getting worse and is an accident waiting to happen. The potholes are getting bigger and even more appearing over time. This is a main route through to smaller villages, some use it to get back on to the A52. Lorries and farm vehicles use it all the time, making the situation worse. It won't be long before a serious accident involving a motorbike, bicycle or pedestrian or even cars, as alot you can see avoiding the pothole. All it will take is the wrong move before something serious happens. The potholes need sorting.

Litter Bins Removed by Council Operatives (Partney Services), 24th March
The ‘ditch’ was cleared by volunteers as the ‘fixmystreet’ request issued 2 years ago was not actioned.
With the support of the garage an additional bin, to complement the other two council bins was put in place, only to establish that a day later the council bins were removed from site. These bins need restoring as a matter of urgency as the area will be constantly littered without adequate facilities.
