Grade D litter/debris on verge, you haven't litter picked the verges for many years if ever. You are a disgrace. Under the environmental act issued by DEFRA local authorities have a responsibility to keep verges clear of litter. You are breaking the law. All this litter will make its way into the nearby river. You do not care. National Highways have closed this road multiple times and you could have worked with them and arranged for your street cleaning team to litter pick at the same time. This would have saved money and made sure you at least tried to meet your environmental duties. A litter Abatement order followed by fines and court appearance is the next steps in this instance.

Litter, 4th March
The A47 South Bank hasn't been litter picked for many many years. The verges are full of litter and debris that will eventually pollute the nearby river.
National Highways are closing this road foe two nights in April. This is yet another opportunity for you to work with them and arrange for your street cleaning team to finally give this road a much needed litter pick. I can already guarantee this won't happen.
You as a council are an absolute disgrace. You should be taken to court and issued with a litter Abatement order for your clear disregard of your environmental duties.

Litter everywhere, 12th February
This stretch of A47 from Thorney Toll to Wisbech is absolutely disgusting, with the verges covered in litter and debris. This section hasn't been litter picked for many years. It is depressing to see the litter everywhere, especially as many of it likely makes its way into the nearby river.
National Highways have had closures along this road multiple times last year. Why do you never use this closures as an opportunity to work collaboratively with National Highways and arrange for the area to be litter picked simultaneously?
Why do you continue to ignore you environmental duties?

Bollards, 6th September
Most of the bollards from Guyhirn to Wisbech are broken, many from you cutting the verges and shredding them everywhere. Also lots of other debris and litter shredded following you cutting the verges. Really poor standard of work and it's rather embarrassing really that this has been signed off by you and accceptable, and paid for by tax payers.

Shoddy work, 30th August
Verges cut, most of the plastic bollards have been broken from this work. They've even shredded through their own road work equipment. Also loads of debris and rubbish shredded everywhere. This really is such awful, shoddy work and your contractors should be embarrassed, who is signing this work off? You literally have since a poor standard of workmanship and this is evident not just from this work but throughout the road network. Send your inspectors back to this location, start from the Guyhirn roundabout and travel to the Wisbech roundabout. Let them see this awful mess that has been made by you but paid for by tax payers.

A47, 26th August
Just driven along the A47 from the Thorney roundabout to Wisbech. I'm appalled at the disgusting mess everywhere, why have you cut the vegetation and left all the now mowed roadside litter and other debris everywhere. There is an adjacent river and lots of wildlife around and all this mess is terrible. Please can you address this as a matter of urgency, this should have all been cleared when you had arranged the vegetation to be cut.

What a mess, 25th August
You do realise you're responsible for litter clearance along the A47? Why did you not work with National Highways last week when they had this road from Guyhirn to Wisbech closed for verge cutting? You could have used this as an opportunity to get this area cleaned up. Instead, National Highways have now shredded through all the tons of debris and litter and left it all covering the verges. SEND YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL TEAM TO THIS area immediately and I hope you'll be equally as horrified at the mess everywhere. When are you going to start adhering to your environmental responsibilities and get this busy road cleaned up? It is like driving through a rubbish tip.

Shredded litter everywhere., 25th August
Send one of your inspectors to the A47 from Guyhirn to Wisbech immediately. The mess your cowboy verge cutting contractors have left is an absolute disgrace. Tons of roadside debris and litter shredded everywhere. They've even shredded through most of the plastic bollards along this route as well as old road work signs. All this paid for by tax payers. National highways, you really should be ashamed and embarrassed of this disgraceful standard of work, and total disregard for the environment. You had this road closed for two whole nights and couldn't be bothered to arrange for the disgusting mess to be cleaned up whilst the verges were being cut. I honestly despair, you are a total blight on this country with your shoddy work everywhere. I want a direct response on here with the details of the contractors that were responsible for cutting the verges along this route late week!

Potholes, 12th April
So many potholes along this while stretch of road on both sides. Many several inches deep and on both sides of the road. Huge ones in the middle of the road too! Been like this at least 2 months. God forbid a motorcyclist hits one of these!

Very Large Pothole, 17th January
Last night traveling West on the A47 I hit a pothole which made a very loud bang on my passenger side wheels. Also on arriving to work a colleague advised the same happened to them but they were worse off than me and the tyre is completely ruined and has to be replaced.

Previous report regarding your road work paraphernalia left behind was closed, and you'd stated the equipment had been collected. I can confirm this is untrue, with piles of old sand bags etc still left behind. Your workers have clearly thrown this into the verges. Millions of pounds of tax payers money spend on the Guyhirn works and of course your workers cannot be bothered to clean up properly and responsibly. They're an absolute disgrace, I see this equipment dumped everywhere. Please come back and arrange clearance of this equipment, and moving forward, clamp down on this behaviour that your workers continue to show throughout the road network. I'll await improvements.

Large metal broken sign frame and around a dozen sand bags simply thrown into the vegetation following the Guyhirn roundabout completion. Behaviour demonstrated throughout the country by your team, yet you have the audacity to run anti-litter campaigns when you're one of the major contributors. Please come back and clean up all your mess.
