Overgrown bushes and trees block visibility of oncoming traffic from the south when waiting to enter the roundabout from the link road. No vehicle is visible until it reaches the roundabout, meaning heavy and slow moving vehicles can be vulnerable to side impact when pulling on to the roundabout in front of them

Manhole:/ drain cover on Surfleet rd opposite Newlands house (marked 17) front of no. 12, 18th March
The rectangular metal cover has worked loose I guess as every time a vehicle drives over it it emits a very loud “clonk”. I am sitting in my kitchen which is double glazed and about 30 or 40 metres back from the road at the moment and can clearly hear it - every few seconds often (it’s a busy road!). It is disturbing ourselves and our neighbours. We noticed this problem about a month ago I think.

Driveway to 5 & 7 Hungate Lane, PE11 4BY and dyke opposite, 13th March
We’d like to raise a concern over the safety of vehicles travelling along Hungate Lane, Surfleet, PE11 4BW, particularly adjacent to the driveway entrance to 5 & 7 Hungate Lane. The lane is narrow and adjacent to a dyke. It’s frequently used by cars, vans and HGVs. We live in one of the new bungalows built behind Hungate Lane with access to Hungate lane via a wide driveway. Cars and lorries travelling along Hungate Lane, try to pass one another by driving on the driveway entrance – but it’s too small causing the vehicles nearest to the dyke, to drive onto the narrow grass verge. Lorries have got precariously close to the edge of the dyke and we are concerned a serious incident may occur if one falls in. Please look at the enclosed photos that show just how close lorries have recently been to the edge of the dyke. The photos show someone drove onto the driveway entrance to get out of the way – and you can see there was not enough room by just how close the lorry wheels got to the edge of the dyke. You can also see the lorry travelled fast enough to ‘spatter’ mud across the road providing further evidence of the risks drivers are taking in this narrow space. We have spoken with our builder and can only suggest adding fencing to limit access to the drive – but we are reluctant to do so in case the driveway space is the only space available in an emergency situation or if the fences are hit and become the cause of an accident. Perhaps limiting the size of vehicles allowed to travel along the lane and limiting their speed would ease the situation and perhaps reinstating the width of the verge and better defining the road width would also help. Please will you review the situation and consider how an accident may be avoided? Thank You

Spalding/Surfleet side of A152 and A16 roundabout., 12th March
Waiting on the A152 to enter roundabout with A16, can't see anything coming from the right (Spalding direction) because of overgrown trees and bushes and when you think it's ok to pull out traffic can appear from nowhere because they don't have to slow down coming from Spalding and they can't see you until they almost run into the back of you on the roundabout!
