Dangerous Road Side, 23rd July
A large vehicle has at sometime in the past few days left the road and created an enormous trough in the grass verge, at least 30cm deep in places, 45cm wide and some 25-30 metres long. The road is very narrow, the trough is hidden by a bend in the road and poses an extremely high risk of causing a serious accident

Speeding traffic , 9th May
Cars and particularly motorbikes during weekends and bank holidays, speed as they are coming into the village. However the worst danger and nuisance are those who accelerate as the see the national speed limit signs. The noise at weekends and holidays is can easily be heard even in our back gardens and vibrate through our homes.
Not only the noise, but there is a danger to pedestrians, especially elderly and children. The road is almost impossible to cross during these peak times and any gaps in the traffic are quickly filled by the speeding bikes and cars.
A mini roundabout at the entrance to the village with Lintibert road would provide a raod calming measure that would be effective and not too expensive. Especially in view of the building of the new road whcih will connect the Lintibert farm estate to soon be built.

Steps dropping down steeply from roadside kerb, 9th May
There are two steep steps from teh roadside kerb to the pavement. For those unaware they risk falling as they step out of their cars, or from across the road. For those of us aware, sometimes we forget and other times we just slip. The steps are steep and I have had to take two weeks off work for a fall caused by these steps. There are several elderly people who have also fallen down these steps.
These need to be flattened, either levelled altogether or the steps made much wider for safety reasons.
