FIXMYSTREET IN OX44 7XS
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of OX44 7XS:
Pavement completely overgrown and dangerous, 26th April
The stretch of pavement from Stadhampton to chiselhampton alongside the B480 is completely overgrown. In some places it is impassable and others so narrow barely 1 person can use it. It’s unsafe for anybody walking children and unusable for those with disabilities or pushchairs. In addition to the danger of the pavement road signs warning of dangerous bends have become overgrown and lost making the road dangerous for drivers. This has been like it for almost 2 years, some effort was made to clear back the undergrowth but for some reason this was only carried it on the area adjacent to the lay-by immediately prior to chiselhampton. As chiselhampton now has the only pub in the area, this route is being used more by pedestrians and I worry about the increased danger to life.

Flood debris and general gravel, 7th April
There is a significant amount of gravel in the centre of the road, including the top of the bridge surface. This is a hazard to vulnerable motorists, especially motorcycles who can slip out on it. This almost happened to me as I negotiated the turn. Additionally there is a lot of mud and other debris on the bend near the waste water site.

Now there are TWO potholes on Haywards bridge, 5th April
A second pothole (the one previously fixed many times) has reopened making cross img the bridge very difficult. One pothole on each side of the road. This needs looking at as there are no lights and will be dangerous for motorcyclists and cyclists but also cars as there is no easy way through.

Pavevment and kerb not installed back correctly sine roadworks last year., 1st April
Since roadworks last year the pavement and kerb were dug up. The kerb has been replaced level with the road the pavement had also been put back lower. Now we have no kerb to contain rain that flows down the road. When it rains the water flows down the road over the lowered kerb and now straight into our gardens then the house. We have been flooded 3 times this year already. Please put the kerb and pavement back how it was last year and we will have no flooding

Road surface breaking up and subsidence blocking driveway caused by heavy traffic, 29th March
The road surface has and continues to be disrupted and breaking up causing a ridge in front of a private driveway making it increasingly difficult to enter the property. Also for someone with mobility issues it is impossible to enter or leave the property. The road surface breaking up is mainly caused by heavy vehicles using the lane. I am a councilor and have been asked to report this on their behalf.
