Culvert Under Road Blocked and Running down the Street, 5th April
This has been reported several times and someone comes out and digs it out for a bit before it blocks again .It doesn’t bother our property because we are up high but it is a danger to motorists and is washing away peoples drives . We’ve been here for 35 years and it’s never been a problem before but because you keep temporarily digging it out at the surface while it remains blocked under the road your remedial works last 5 minutes . Ignoring the problem is creating an unsafe road surface for motorists as the road is disintegrating because of the water flow . As we have a huge amount of increased traffic through Somerton since Upper Heyford was developed we need additional funding for the damage it is doing to our roads and this blocked culvert isn’t helping . Please come and do a proper job on it . The blocked culvert, the drain blocked further up, the potholes and the deteriorating road surface in Somerton makes the road through Somerton look like a river.

Culvert Blocked Again, 30th March
Where the water passes under the road on Water Street and opposite The Old Schoolhouse is blocked and it’s flooding with water pouring down the road, down a hill and round a bend which is extremely dangerous to vehicles using the road especially in the dark and with the weather getting colder . Something needs to be done to stop this happening every few weeks . We’ve lived here for 34 years and it’s never been a problem but now it’s constantly blocking up and needs digging out under the road. The road surface is being washed away and so is the bank

Deep pothole(s)/severely degraded road surface, 30th March
As you can see from what remains of my rear wheel, there is deep pothole which has caused massive damage to two of my wheels and tyres. As a result I have two tyres which are under a month old ruined and two buckled alloy wheels. This road is in a very poor state of repair from sun's tew all the way to ardley.

Drain Blocked No Action Taken, 28th March
This drain continues to overflow out of the drain cover down the road and around a blind bend into oncoming traffic and it does so even when it’s not raining . The drain is obviously not working . When is it going to be dealt with and fixed? This needs to be dealt with now . It’s been reported several times and it just keeps saying investigating . I’ve seen no one investigating it .

Drain Blocked Flooding Road Around a Bend, 21st March
This drain in the road near Croft Orchard is not functioning and water is coming out of it not going in it so it needs to be stopped and the water made to go underground . The water pouring down the road around a bend causing a very slippery surface for cars just where they break . This is a danger to cars . It is also wearing the road away and causing pot holes .

Opposite the Old Inn Somerton are a series of large potholes merging together to provide a dangerous road surface which has been caused by poor drainage . This needs immediate attention before an accident or tyre blowout occurs .
