Parking in an anti social manner, 30th April
We have resident parking at some expense to residents on west bar street in banbury. There is a problem particuarly during the daytime with people parking for short periods and because there are not marked out parking bays other than the parking zone mostly not parking in a manner that allows for optimum efficient use of the parking zone. However, this is only the tip of the ice burg. We currently have an issue on west bar street where residents appear to be leaving their vehicle parked for long periods (weeks not day) in a manner that reduces the number of cars that can be parked in a zone. So for example currently (see photos) there is a silver vehicle that has been parked for at least two weeks with his front end about 3-4 ft from the end of the zone an area that you could park a motobike in an the guy whose car it is does have a motorbike, I think but he has not parked it there and the result is the other residents cannot fit their cars in at the end of the day when they come back from work without difficulties. In other words the parking scheme at West bar is not currently working. There are not allocated bays for motobikes and people are not aware of the need to park their vehicle efficiently so that residents can also use the parking zones. This could be remedied by the introduction of motobike parking areas and marking within the parking zones to indicate suitable parking areas for each vehicle. Hence, in the zone in the picture four vehicles could gain parking in this zone for a greater rather than lesser percentage of time. Also, the disabled parking zone outside Windrush surgery is not working. Nobody is parking in it after the surgery is closed. Its a waste of space and might make ideal parking for motobikes etc.

A series of large, deep potholes at the junction of Thorpe Way and Thorpe Clost, 30th April
I can see that someone has already reported something similar last month, but the area is very poor. I work in the area and frequently cross this junction by foot, and today and nearly fallen due to the poor road surface. I sometimes drive my car in/out of the junction, and have to do so with great care and very slowly as several of the potholes are so deep. The issue has been on-going for some time, and the road is only getting worse the longer it is left.

Dangerous Lack of Visibility at Junction, 29th April
The verge needs cutting on Oxford Rd north of Old Parr Road junction. The length of grass and weeds is reducing the visibility of cars heading up the hill to traffic emerging from the junction and causing vehicles to have to edge out into the road to see if it is clear. Other verges have recently been cut but this one has not been done. The same thing happened last yesr and it took numerous reports to get it resolved. Between OCC and CDC please resolve this report of a dangerous situation instead of just closing down the report. Fix My Street is supposed to be one forum for all reports and not for the public to work out what is OCC resposibiulity and what is CDC responsibility.

Wire crossing above A361 too low?, 26th April
After recent work near where Salt Way crosses the A361 / entrance to Waller Drive, one of a set of 3 or 4 cables is hanging much lower than the others. It is sufficiently low to make me think it is vulnerable to being hit by tall vehicles (e.g. artic carrying a crane or digger). The wire is visible on the attached photo, but you may have to zoom in a bit towards the top to see it clearly

Dear Madam or Sir, this car is continuously parking on the Grass Verge by Bloxham Road No.155.It is sometimes moved to allow the contractors to cut the grass, but the grass under the car is now completely brown. Road surface deteriorating, 25th April
The state of the Warwick Road in Banbury approximately between the small roundabout that meets Orchard Way all the way towards the centre of Banbury, past the Texaco petrol station and along past the Police station, is beyond appalling. It really is genuine comedy now.
It is not a case of potholes (surprisingly) but the entire road surface being abject, unfit for purpose and a constant drain on a car's suspension components and the tyres/wheels ability to maintain adequate road adhesion. There are tramlines, rutted surfaces, a myriad of old repairs and more that have resulted in the most inconsistent road surface I have seen anywhere in a long long time. You end up dodging in and out of issues which is dangerous but what is the alternative? Should I drive into these ruts or should I swerve in to oncoming traffic? I need an answer to that ok. You tell me what I should do.
Get it resurfaced. Aside from the fact that it is down right dangerous, it is also a major arterial road in to the town and will be one of the first areas visitors have to deal with. It is a terrible indictment of just how rubbish the council is at maintaining vital infrastructure
