FIXMYSTREET IN OX12 8LU
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of OX12 8LU:
This whole road needs resurfacing from Wantage right up the hill, 23rd April
The edges of the road have been worn away by all the water constantly flowing down the hill. This never used to be a problem and should be investigated. The edges of the road have really deep holes and are appalling. A cone has been in place for weeks on one of the really big holes. You are failing in your duties to protect motorists and cyclists.

A whole section of this road is missing tarmac and needs resurfacing, 10th April
I may not have the right bit and it might be further up. There are numerous potholes on this road and when are you going to sort the drainage issue? It never used to be like this. My friend tells me that they laid a new drainage pipe across the field and this is the result!

Blocked drains, gullies and broken road surface., 8th April
Despite previous reports, nothing appears to be happening. The damage to the road edge is so deep and wide now that we are planning to hold a duck-race there. Why can't somebody do something to alleviate the problem? It is your road that is being undermined and the damage claims can only escalate. And who will pay for them - us, the taxpayers.

These duties are defined by Section 41 of the Highways Act 1980 and require the council to take ‘reasonable steps’ to make the highway safe." Do you think you are complying?

You can’t see the hole because it’s full of water from the flooding across the road, I drive a landrover and it has blown my tyre going through it! It must be very deep!, 6th March
This pothole can’t be seen because it’s full of water from the flooding across the road. My tyre has blown but if a cyclist goes through it they could come off their bike. The hole must be very deep as it made a terrible bang as I went through it! Can I claim compensation from OCC because of the bad condition of the road?

Loose dangerous drain cover, 22nd February
The drain cover/grate keeps flipping out so that it sticks up. We've stopped and lay it back down twice but it's loose so will do it again and would make a mess of a car if it was hit.

Road edge failing, risks wheel damage, 17th February
A338 northbound, just a few metres south of the junction for Manor Road Farm; a previous repair has failed badly leaving multiple holes which are regularly underwater - approximately two inches in depth and 8 inches diameter - these are now likely to be hit because vehicles southbound are avoiding floodwater which leaves very little room to see or dodge. The holes are severe, there is a risk of wheel damage here. *Please address* - it may be worsened here due to the major flooding from the Manor Road Farm entrance
