Wide and deep pothole, 3rd March
A882 around Whitefield (heading to Thurso from Wick) there is large and deep potholes. Significant in size and follow on from a trail of potholes that litter both sides of the road from the Kingdom Hall. These potholes continue to have no signage warning vehicles of the hazard to drivers on both sides of the road with significant risk to drivers as cars having to cross sides of roads to navigate these deep potholes. It is unsafe for drivers to leave vehicle to take photos and at risk if they damage car or wheel as on a bend.

Dangerous Road Surface, 21st February
The road surface just prior to Bilbster straight is going to be the cause of a horrendous accident. How Highland Council can knowingly ignore repeated reports is a disgrace. Any inspection by qualified engineers would lead to immediate emergency repairs. I have to travel on this road every night visiting someone in the hospital, i dread to think what the police and ambulance drivers are having to negotiate at all hours of the day or night.

Potholes so deep you can see the different coloured layer underneath, 20th August
Title says it all. You can clearly see the paper layer of the old road surface where the black one over the top has disintegrated. These potholes are getting deeper and wider and will cause an accident or damage if they are not fixed. There is a “SLOW” sign there which indicates that you are already aware of this damage to the road, yet the sign had been there for months with no repair made to the road surface. The Caithness roads are a disgrace.
