FIXMYSTREET IN OL6 7QW
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of OL6 7QW:
Litter in the park, 16th May
The bins were removed from the park and there is a constant problem with litter. Especially with the weather improving. People like to sit in the park, have a drink, picnic. But they don’t take their rubbish with them. We have asked to have the bins replaced but the council replied saying they’re not required as the residents are happy to do litter picking. We aren’t happy to do litter picking. I work full time and pay council tax. I have an active life and I don’t have time to litter pick. Although I do because I don’t want to live like this. I want to be proud of my area

Litter on the pavement and road, 16th May
We used to bins all over the king George’s park, they were removed and never replaced. We constantly have litter outside our properties. I swept up on Sunday morning by lunchtime litter was all down the road again. Please can we have the bins replaced. I know wardens to give out fines for dropping litter maybe a stretch but bins would be a good start.

Lack of solutions to speeding problems, 10th May
On both Downing and Newmarket Road (both directions) there are no real deterrents for speeding motorists.Apart from a few road traffic signs and a digital speed reminder column still motorists continue to use both roads as a race track. The last fatal accident was in 2007 since then there has been a few minor roads traffic accidents.During around 7pm in the evening boy racers are out and later into the night. As to Newmarket Road it needs either speed bumps or a pedestrian crossing.I think speed bumps or bollards at junction of Ney Street would be beneficial.

Increase in flytipping, 3rd May
I noted items here last week, but they have now increased. Tyres, fridges, bags and general rubbish. Both tipped, on top of and underneath the bridge. The whole area needs looking at. In fact the WHOLE of Tameside needs sorting. This is affecting my mental health, and no doubt many other people, which will in turn increase your costs for health care services. It is also damaging our earthly home, and that of the animals/ wildlife. PLEASE address the wider issue and not just keep picking it all up. Address the causes. Educate people or prosecute them. It's not fair that the rest of society (and animals) are suffering. Good day to you and Good luck.

Multiple issues, 1st May
Good afternoon. This "route to work" would make someone depressed before they even got there. So many issues, from flytipping, to overgrown walkways, bags of dog foul and just litter everywhere. It's barely accessible, and definitely damaging the environment aswell as people's health. Please bring back some pride to tameside

Should I have to avoid pedestrians on this cycle path, 18th April
On more than one occasion I have had to slow right down to avoid a collision with a pedestrian. Is this a shared-use path or are pedestrians forbidden? Maybe there should be signs saying no pedestrians if that is the case, as people seem to think they can walk there.

Obstruction on road, 15th April
Every day there are 10 or more cars parked outside this garage. It causes a dangerous blindspot on Wellbeck street South and Victoria road. There's traffic coming in 4 directions and theres cars and vans blocking the view. Also cars parked fully on the pavement. The business doesn't own a car park and is using a public highway to park an excessive amount of vehicles. It's not only inconsiderate to drivers' saftey but a danger.
This has been happening for a couple of years. There was even a skip left a couple of months ago on the main road.
