Pennine Bridleway - danger to users. Immediate action required., 4th September
The track in this section has been reinforced by the addition of several loads of hardcore. The problem is that this "hardcore" is comprised of a lethal mixture that includes shards of glass and pottery and strips of metsl, all of which are easily capable of ripping the hooves of horses, the pads of dogs accompanying walkers, and shredding the tyres of mountain bikes, all of which are legitimate users of this public highway and right of way. Immediate action is needed to avoid serious injury occurring to animals or humans.

Fridge freezer carcase dumped at entrance to landfill site, 3rd September
I passed this location about a fortnight ago and saw the carcase of a fridge freezer. I passed it again on Tesday and it was still there.

Overgrown trees blocking the footpath on Burnley Road East next to Dean Lane bus stop., 4th August
The trees are so overgrown they now take up almost all the footpath. It is difficult trying to walk on the pavement. Anyone in a wheelchair or pushing a pram would find it impossible and would have to go in the road.

Substantial Pothole at this location which has caused my tyre to blow out (03/12/19), 5th December
At approximately 1800hrs on 03/12/19, I turned left onto Crown Point Road from Burnley Road East (B6238), heading in a direction of Burnley. Approximately 300 metres from the junction of Crown Point Road and the B6238, there was a large Pothole to the nearside of the carriageway. It was dark, wet and visibility was poor, therefore I didn't see the hazard until I had travelled over it. I was travelling at low speeds and both nearside tyres hit the hazard causing me to brake hard. My front tyre has been examined and appears fine. My rear tyre needs to be replaced due to a 1 inch laceration causing an instant deflation. My vehicle is a 2018 Skoda Superb. The damaged tyre is a Bridgestone 235/40 R19 96W with an estimated cost of £155. Tyre Force in Blackburn have ordered me a new tyre for collection on 06/12/19. I have been without a car since the incident.

There us a very large and deep pothole on the South Bound carriageway - heading towards Bacup. Until recently it had a cone placed inside it to alert road users, but this has since been removed.
