The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of NG34 0JW:
Other road surface issue problem, 16th April
This road has been reported to Highways on several occasions due to ever degrading state of potholes.
Report on FixMyStreet
All of South Drove, Helpringham Fen, 2nd April
There are numerous bad potholes all down South Drove, too many to realistically report individually. Parts of the road are becoming a chicane with vehicles trying to avoid them and subsequently eroding the verge.
The worst parts are by Barnes Farm, Regal Garden Buildings, Redroof Stud, Fulforth Farm and South Drove Farm.
Constant patching is not helping as the traffic and rain keep washing them out.
Would you team please go down the Drove and mark up all existing potholes and also mark the worst stretches for a more durable repair.

Near to Barnes farm., 11th March
Very poor repairs that have been done multiple times in the last few months and have come out again. A child could do better. Richard Fenwick is aware of the substandard work on this stretch of road. Road is now impassable unless you drive on the verge to avoid these massive potholes. Im shocked that the repairers can sign their own work off even if they havent actually done the repair.

From before Barnes Farm to Southview Farm., 7th March
Potholes along a huge stretch of road. These were poorly filled less than 5 months ago and are now worse than ever. How can we operate a garage when cars are incurring more damage enroute. People are now questioning bringing classic and valuable cars for service because the road is so bad. How much money has been wasted on substandard repairs carried out in the same area over the past few years. Please sort out a permanent and cost effective road surface. Under the freedom of information act can you also please tell me the cost of repairs carried out on this stretch of road over the last 5 years.

The whole of the lane called “the bank”, 3rd February
From Swaton, to its other end at bridge end, this road is a hazard. Cars regularly use it and it is now heavily potholed. These make it a hazard to walkers, especially those with limited vision. This is quite a few people as the lane draws walkers from a wide area. Cars regularly drive on the grass, creating an extra hazard. It either needs fixing, or the road closing to cars and none farm vehicles.

Multiple pot holes from blowtoft railway crossing to the village, 10th January
Multiple pot holes. These were poorly filled previously by tipping in some bitumen but not sealing the edges, therefore it's all come out, revealing the pot holes again. Waste of time and money botching them in the first place. The whole road needs serious attention due to heavy agricultural machinery and lorries using it daily.

The pavement directly outside 3 Airey Houses., 19th November
The pavement is breaking apart. This is largely due to a rotting tree’s roots collapsing underneath it. There is a large crack, with a sharp lip where the pavement has heaved up. Two people have tripped on it. We also believe it is responsible for tearing two or our tyres. This has been present for a couple of months. However, the root issue was reported in May ‘23
