Collapsed drain opposite barns entrance, 12th January
6ft long collapsed drain. When ever lorries or farm vehicles drive over it it makes a tremendous shake in my house(1 Glebe Cottage), so much so that I am genuinely concerned it will cause structural damage to it. The depression runs right across the road.

Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 26th June
On my way to work at Daneplast (on Gunby Road Industrial Estate) a large vehicle was coming in the opposite direction so I had to pull left in to the passing place. Upon accelerating out of the passing place my left hand front wheel crashed down in to a pothole which at the time was almost impossible to see as it was full of water. This caused a small tear in the sidewall of my tyre which immediately deflated. My car then had to be recovered back to Aston Vauxhall, Melton Mowbray who ordered one in for the following day as there were no tyres available near by to suit my car.

Pavement unfit for purpose, 15th April
Mud build up on pavement causing residents to walk on the road. Unusable for families with pushchairs and disabled people using wheelchairs. People shouldn’t have to use the roads to walk on when a pavement is available. It’s dangerous and completely unnecessary, if the council would just clean the pavements, people wouldn’t have to walk on the so called 30MPH road, which no one ever ever ever sticks to, especially tipper drivers from Stainby quarry

Pavement dangerous, 3rd March
As my last report got fobbed off by someone I thought I would try again and reword the problem!!
The pavement from Stainby farm down to the bungalows are DANGEROUSLY slippery and boggy with mud! This needs rectifying as soon as possible. CHILDREN SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WALK ON THE RACE TRACK KNOWN AS COLSTERWORTH ROAD BECAUSE THE COUNCIL SEEM TO THINK THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM. As you decided to kibosh my last report to you, I take it you will be paying for the children’s school uniform cleaning bills??
Get it sorted, what’s the point of paying for councel tax if the only thing you do in our hamlet is pick up bins

Pavement through stainby, 2nd March
Over the last few weeks, the pavements have become unusable, due to the mud buildup from quarry lorry’s. If theses tipper lorry’s are going to be using Colsterworth Road (main road on some maps) surely someone needs to clean up after them. Maybe fit a wheel wash at Stainby quarry as this should already be in place and getting used! Not only that, this road is a 30MPH but know one sticks to the speed limit not only making walking the dog dangerous but with all the mud on the roads and speeding lorry’s and cars, all the mud and grit is getting splashed onto our property and cars, it’s also skid danger as well.

The pavements in Stainby are in need of a desperate clean. They’re more like mud verge’s than pavements

Middle Street and Post Office Hill, 24th January
An articulated lorry has been through the village and damaged the verge and deposited large amounts of mud and debris in the road. Because there are no pavements it's now hazardous for mobility scooters and prohibitive for push chairs. Can road be swept or cleaned.
