Large new patch repair, circled, has a pothole developing on the edge of the repair. That repair should have been larger into firm surface. This seems false economy given the number of pothole repairs that have fresh potholes developing on the edge. I have reported many such inadequate repairs.

Centre of the road, just beyond the Opal cable track (red asphalt) is a previous pothole repair. This repair is trampled by lorries going in both directions and show signs of damage on the underlayer. Suggest it needs a deeper repair than a surface patch.

A1, between Colsterwoth service and beyond Ancaster turn off, 4th April
Driving inside lane, going north on Great North road towards Grantham. This was between 6.30 and 6.45 am 03/04/24. Sudden loud noise, blow out sound and change in car stability leading me to stop at a lay by 500 yards down the road There was another van parked in whose owner stated that he had also run over a pothole which affected his engine and was unable to drive. There was a tear in my tyre and as I have tubeless run on tyres,?slowly drove into work. It was a traumatic experience. I am uncertain to the size of pothole as it was not possible to drive back and check in the early morning traffic.

Multiple potholes on both sides of this stretch of road. They are located on the carriageway in various places, exactly where vehicles need to travel. Some of these are extremely deep, and will cause damage to vehicles, or even injury to bike/motorbike riders. I believe it should be a priority to mend these as soon as possible.

A1 traffic diverted onto Woolsthorpe Road, Woolsthorpe by Colsterworth which is quite narrow resulting in significant damage to the soft verges. A road sweeper is in need please. Plus road drains are blocked. Please ask the Highways inspector to visit urgently to assess.
