Across and around Westby lane and dark lane and the lane where we live., 18th February
Frequency and severity of flooding has dramatically increased since the cgm waterway maintenance and restoration ( I believe they have now changed names)did works in November 2023 on the section of the west glen river at lower Bitchfield, where we and 8 others live by st Mary Magdalene church. They clear our section but it has not been clear further upstream so the water which now gets to us very quickly can’t get away and the attached photos are the result. We can’t get out of our lane as it’s dead end , flooding around our only way out is now frequently too deep to safely drive through. Exacerbating the problem. Add to this The nearby fields and drains are no longer maintained due to “rewilding” so water is running off to here at great speed . moreover and this is in our opion a major contiburter The land drains feeding this section from Westby are large maybe 1meter feeding into clogged up dykes and small drains.

Multiple pothole into centre of carriageway on the double bend, 9th January
Multiple long and deep pothole across the centre of the carrageenan way and also on the left edge heading towards boothby pagnell. Unable to stop sadly to take photos as double bend on a rise and clearway

We were driving to Corby Glen it was dark & heavy rain & traffic coming towards us & traffic behind us & hit a pot hole
we pulled up as all the warning lights came on the dashboard we have run flat tyres my husband got out of the car & assessed the damage

Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 13th December
Driving my car at 17:30 behind a convoy of cars/traffic moving at around 45 mph. The road takes a very slight left bend and the front right wheel hit the middle of the pothole. It was a huge bump. My phone came out of its phone holder and items in the door pockets violently jumped out. The pothole was one of the largest that I had seen on that particular road. Immediately the car pulled to the left and i had to drive at very slow speed until i could find a safe space to stop. The incident was completely caused by the pothole. The tire wall was shredded from the impact and my alloy wheel was bent out of shape.The pothole was that large, wide and deep that it caused significant damage to my car. The impact immediately disfigured the tire wall.

Mid-way between Boothby Pagnell and Bitchfield, 12th December
A large and deep pothole has emerged on the left hand side of the road as you head towards Bitchfield. You cannot see it in the dark and I have hit it three times now. It will definitely damage someone's wheel or tyre.

Bassingthorpe lane / dark lane, 28th November
Drains and dykes blocked up causing water to flooding along from bridge to The cottage. Bit 4/5 time in as many weeks . Through drains need clearing . It is making life difficult to get in and out of lower Bitchfield even in high vehicles and allowing water to continually weep across our lane which will get icy and stay that way for long periods as it is constantly trickle fed and re freezes quickly . We don’t want road salt as lane extensively used by dog walkers and it’s poisonous for the dogs .
