Along the A 1 the verges are full of rubbish unfortunately. This is just one location. Around Newark particularly Northbound it is terrible.

Road gulley full of debris and weeds, 13th July
These road gulleys on North Road scarthingmoor have not been cleaned out in at least the last 10 years Full with mud and weeds and allows rain water to build up on the roads. Reported directly to notts County Council over the last 5 years and never gets addressed

Tons of litter, 7th November
Absolutely tons of litter on the verges of the A1 (Local councils responsibility to clear). I first reported this over a year ago and still no litter picking has taken place. You have a duty under the Environmental protection act to 'keep verges clear of litter' why are you ignoring your duties?

Numerous deep potholes causing cyclists to move into centre of road, 18th May
The potholes on Stone Road End between the train line and the B1164 Great North Road, have been getting worse over the winter but now they are a danger to cyclists and they are having to move into the centre of the already narrow road. I have nearly come off my bike twice now down to the poor road surface.

Southbound carriageway near junction has large, deep potholes., 18th February
The pothole is on a 60mph busy road just following a sharp corner. Many cyclists use the road and there is no streetlights so it can easily be missed.

A series of potholes, approx 6” deep by around 10’ long., 6th July
This pothole has been here for around 20 months. It has been reported numerous times. The council have advised it has been repaired numerous times. It has never been repaired, patched or looked at.

Series of deep potholes at road edge, 2nd May
This pot hole was reported around 15 months ago and wasn’t repaired. It is now deeper and makes accessing the drop curb difficult off the national speed limit road - on a number of occasions this has caused cars to slow unexpectedly, and will ultimately cause an accident.

I have had so many accidents and near accident here, along with the majority of people that use this road. On the left hand side of the road, when heading up the hill, there is a large bump in the road. People avoid it by going to the other side to miss it, but end up almost smashing into oncoming traffic from the top of the hill. It has buckled my tyres before. It is not a hole, but a massive dip in the road.
