Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council attended to an emergency call out instructed by the police following an RTC. A damaged directional sign was located and removed. However we have realised this was just beyond our adoption limits and is a National Highways sign. The sign is white on green direction sign for '< Doncaster A1', located on the central refuge/splitter island.]
We have been provided with the vehicle details by Nottinghamshire Police to recover costs, however we can not pass this on due to GDPR, Notts Police will be able to provide you with this information should you wish to seek recovery yourselves. The collision was dated 22/12/23 and the vehicle registration number is D4 FNL. Police incident no 816/22/12/23.

Redundant Road Signs !, 23rd April
The new game we play while traveling on the A1 A46 or any highway is how many rusty sign Frames are left in the centre reservation sides of roads complete with sandbags ! These are a danger to traveling vehicles unsightly huge expense . Comfortably between Newark and Doncaster over 70 signs .

Sycamore tree overgrown and it’s Seedlings ++7’ft ++ encroaching my back fence, 24th October
Tree to high in relation too my home seedlings growth this summer +++ too close to fence. Tree needs correct pruning seedlings need removing. Unfortunately l can not now manage that they are too strong. Had vermin damage too my roof few years ago l did not make a claim. Please l am considering having a new fence in future sapling roots need removing.please.

Fly tipping cooking oil containers, 9th June

Lasanga of potholes and refills "Dunes of vicarage Lane", 26th January
The entire road has been poorly fixed year after year to the point now it feels like touring the grand canyon in a monster truck, pavements not fit for purpose and highly hazards to all forms of traffic be it vehicle, cyclist or pedestrian.

Drain under road blocked or collapsed, 22nd March
The dyke is overflowing when it rains because the pipe that goes under the road is either blocked or collapsed see photos of flooding. In Winter the water freezes and becomes slippy and this is a main walking route so one day someone is going to have a fall. The water is eroding the road when it floods. Currently the dyke is full of water see photo that is becoming stagnant & will eventually start smelling. I understand this has been reported before.

Severe potholes, 19th February
These potholes are progressing lay getting worse each day and also when the road floods you cannot see them, this small section of road floods easily and with this if you hit them you are going to have some serious damage to your vehicle these need seeing to as a matter of urgency before a major accident happens

Potholes, 28th January
This road is actually dangerous!! Im sat hear with a bent wheel and flat tyre thanks to this road its a absolute joke how it keeps getting filled in badly and within two days its exactly the same. You either need capable people to fill the holes and bitch amin round them or the hole road needs re surfacing!!! Mad is a understatement thank you for the big tyre and wheel bill

About 12 black bags dumped on the verge of the A1., 25th August
Someone reported this to us, and according to my information, you are responsible for clearing the side of the A1 of fly tipping. I believe they have access it via Old Great North Road, North Muskham. The fly tip can be found near the 6 ft fence and crash barrier, South bound under the bridge leading over the A1.

Bonfire 7 days in a row, 4th April
The people that live next door have had bonfires for the last 7 days. Large bonfires that spread over into my street and the street parallel and start from roughly 9am well into the late afternoon. In normal Circumstances this is unacceptable, but at a time when people are confined to their homes and their only bit of outdoors is our garden it is totally selfish. All my neighbours are frustrated by this and want them to stop doing enormous bonfires day in day out.

Bus parking dangerously *NOT A BUS STOP*, 13th February
Marshall's busses regularly parking and causing a dangerous obstruction. The drivers are parking and having breaks - they are not parked at the bus stop. This is happening at school drop off times as well which will cause a danger to children crossing the road

Potholes deep and dangerous - drivers swerving, 24th December
Becoming more dangerous, nothing seems to have been done from my previous report, drivers are swerving to avoid the holes and I've nearly come off a motorcycle as a result of these holes. The roads in this area are terrible and dangerous The previous report was opened on 11/11/2019 and then closed as fixed on 12/11/2019 - nothing had been done!!
