ISSUE: 1. Anti-social Behaviour u2013 Youth related occurring in public spaces.
2. Drugs u2013 Addressing & supporting vulnerability through enforcement & education.
3. Retail Crime u2013 Education & crime prevention and targeting of prolific offenders.
ACTION: 1. We will analyse police data to identify local hot spots for youth related ASB related incidents. With this information we will seek identities of individuals involved to tackle these issues and ensure regular high visibility patrols in designated areas are carried out to provide reassurance. Joint work with our youth engagement team to also be carried out so involved individuals can be held accountable for their actions and attend consequence sessions as a result of their behaviour.
2. We will analyse police data to identify hot spots for drug related activity to identify those who have a problematic relationship with substances. With this information we will make referrals to partner agencies to enable them access to support. We will also deliver inputs to local children through school visits and engagement events to widen knowledge around this topic and spread awareness.
3. Officers to conduct regular patrols in the town centre and surrounding areas. Regular engagement visits will be conducted with retail premises within the Long Eaton area to provide reassurance and offer crime prevention advice. Engagement with key stakeholders such as local businesses and shop owners. Review incident reports using police data to identify any individuals involved and take robust action to prevent deterioration of crimes and incidents being reported.
