The surface of the road is very dangerous for two wheel vehicles due to the accumulation of a thick layers of mud and silt associated with flood water washing down the incline of Bridge foot Lane. The road is prone to flooding also because there is no effective drainage. It's doubtful that the usage by large Sanders coaches/buses of the road system around here including the hump-back bridge especially helps matters!

1 metre sqr break-up of road surface with rain water accumulation - depth ~4 inchesne meter square, 17th April
Fairly nasty area of road on turn of road junction and very difficult to avoid from edge of muddy road into middle of narrow roadway. Has been a developing situation for about two weeks..

Small flood developing at site of historic problem, 3rd November
Due to rain and leaf build up at lowest point of Saxlingham road close to junction with A149 a flood is developing. Owing to the fact that this is the exact spot where deep flooding used to develop I am just asking if the leaf build up at the drain can be cleared before the problem gets any worse. Due to the design of the road/drain at this point it looks like simple low cost preventive maintenance is still required. Many thanks!

12 inch pothole on edge of Saxlingham Rd. and near to entrance with Three Owls Farm, 31st October
The hole which is really a break-up of the edge of the road area is developing and becoming more of a problem as due to the fact that the lane is narrow over its whole length, vehicles tend to take advantage of the firm driveway area to pull over to make way for oncoming vehicles. SAXLINGHAM Road would be improved if there were ACCESS LIMITATION NOTICES installed at each end of the road..

Sharp edged metal post protruding out of the tarmac pavement. Think it was left after a speed sign was removed. Tripping hazard in a village with many elderly inhabitants.

Repeated flooding owing to blocked storm drain, 28th October
There is a history of repeated significant flooding which prevents pedestrian access. It looks like the storm drain at side of Saxlingham Road is blocked with mud, sizeable stones, and garden waste. The flood water is currently incapable of draining away. The drain needs to be emptied of solid rubbish.

Part of the hedge has been removed on Sandy Lane which is a bridle way and an unauthorised new gateway been excavate partly removing the bridle way verge d, 2nd April
This unauthorised entrance damages the bridle way on Sandy Lane and has allowed the offending parties to use the lane as a through road and short cut destroying its present status.

1metre pothole in road, 11th January
This pothole has been developing for some time niw, gradually getting bigger, vehicles are regularly driving into it, especially when the road is flooded and covers the hole (frequent flooding in this piece of road) Chapel Lane is narrow and this makes it hard to avoid the pothole.

There is no indication of the whereabouts of the path on the ground. Certainly, there is no signage. The only remotely accessible way through is through the "cafe" seating area shown in the photo. Norfolk County Council, where IS the path? Where does it go? Why isn't it signposted? You have known about the correct whereabouts of the path for so long, now? Why, then, does it remain invisible and physically unavailable on the ground?
