Path obstructed and unsigned through garden., 19th August
Great Walsingham FP 3: The south section of the path should run in a straight course, but is (as mapped at http://maps.norfolk.gov.uk/highways) obstructed by hedges and various other paraphernalia. The only way through the northern hedge is through a gate, but there is no lawful authority for any gate to be on the path. Moreover, the very existence of the path, let alone its correct route, is far from clear on the ground; and yet none of this part of the path is signposted, despite the county council's duty under the Countryside Act 1968 Section 27(4). The path line needs to be identified unambiguously on the ground, cleared of ALL obstructions, and clearly signposted to assist persons unfamiliar with the locality to follow the route of the path with confidence. The county council has, for many years, been aware about these issues, which adversely affect the path here, and yet has gone on allowing this situation to persist, contrary to its legal duties as highway authority.

Road between little walsingham and houghton has a series of very deep potholes, 23rd March
These holes just get bigger and bigger and are all the way along the road on the left hand side travelling from Walsingham. The road is very narrow so you have to pull to the side and the holes are really deep. They have been filled in the past but the fix is obviously not permanent. They have been there for many months but have got much worse in the last couple of weeks.
