Road surface badly damaged, 12th February
This road has been designated as a diversion for the A47 roadworks but it is unsuitable and dangerous. The road surface is badly damaged, especially at the edges. If you come off the road surface there is a sheer drop one side. There are no safe passing places so if you meet another vehicle one has to reverse for some distance which is very dangerous.

Dangerous rutting, particularly in left hand lane west bound, 18th November
There is rutting along the dual carriageway mostly in the left lane westbound. It is very hazardous, and easy to miss. The rutting is inconsistent and uneven, it is extremely hard to see which areas are the most dangerous, I drive this route very frequently and still get caught out in various areas. After heavy rain I have aquaplaned several times, despite drastically reducing speed & following usual safety precautions, twice I have had near misses where a serious collision could have easily occurred. I also frequently witness other drivers hitting the worst areas of rutting at high speed and aquaplaning, several occasions I have seen unsuspecting drivers nearly swerve into traffic on the right. If driving westbound (from Norwich to Kings Lynn) the rutting runs between the end of single carriageway / start of dual carriageway up until approx opposite B1147 Junction on the other side. This has been an issue for a least the past two years and is just getting worse. In dry conditions the surface is uneven and no doubt causing extra wear and tear to vehicles. Please resurface the road before someone gets into an accident.

Difficulty in assessing a clear exit from Hockering onto the A47, 17th June
The grass at this junction has grown to such a height that it’s now posing a danger for vehicles to see what’s coming up towards the junction for drivers wanting to turn right to Dereham. I’m a Cllr on the Hockering Parish Council and have been approached by residents concerned about this issue.

Multiple potholes, just before Sandy Ln junction. Traveling Westbound, 14th March
Seen the 2 potholes have been reported back in January, however due to weathering they have got significantly worse are are even more dangerous. Being a fast road I have to avoid these in my car as I’ve got low profile tyres. They’re in wheels tracks so if unaware could cause harm to vehicle. If a bike was unaware could result in them coming off. Needs to be sorted. Thanks
