Diversion signs incorrect, 2nd May
We were on the A11 northbound. When we got to Snetterton we discovered the A11 had been closed off with no prior warning. We followed the diversion signs which took us miles and miles out of our way back towards Norwich. This wasn’t picked up on either of our satnav s as apparently the work’s weren’t supposed to begin until 4 May. We were literally driving around the countryside on pitch black roads in thick fog with no idea where we were. A journey back from the coast should have taken us 2 hours 20 minutes and took us 3 hours 35 minutes - it was the most stressful journey ever and we were also getting very low on petrol. The lack of information given was disgraceful! The yellow signs said that the road would be closed from 4/5, not on 1/5!!

Pile of dumped timber in layby. The whole of this road is used as a dumping ground for bags of litter etc. and needs cleaning up., 6th February
The problem is obviously that the council's Highways Department never consider this road, yet it provides an ideal spot for looking for evidence of irresponsible behaviour. More fines- more resources to educate Norfolk.

Illegal bridleway diversion, 7th February
Quidenham BR 6: across arable field. The cross-field bridleway is getting persistently cultivated without reinstatement, with public users apparently expected to follow a deviation around the edge of the field instead. The statutory right to plough the surface of a cross-field bridleway, under Highways Act 1980 Section 134, only applies where that cannot reasonably be avoided; it is questionable whether disturbing the bridleway surface here cannot reasonably be avoided. Plus, the correct route needs to be clearly and robustly signposted, to assist persons unfamiliar with the locality to follow the correct route of the bridleway.

Public Footpath blocked by racetrack, 20th May
Quidenham FP 7 should continue north to the parish boundary from here, but it's obstructed by the racetrack and associated buildings.
Presumably it once joined with the ancient "Sandy Lane" track, which disappeared when the airport was built.
The part of Quidenham FP 7 though Snetterton Circuit should be officially stopped up, and an alternative provided in lieu -- to link with the remaining part of Sandy Lane to the west and Heath Road to the east.
There used to be a permissive route to the west, as described at http://cwr.naturalengland.org.uk/mapboards/pdfs/283300006.pdf , but this access seems to have ended now.
