Cars parked on Mentmore Way, 16th January
There are cars parked the length of Mentmore Way, from Shotesham Rd to Lansdowne Drive and along the entrance to the Business Park. It is really dangerous when coming out of Lansdowne Drive as you can't see what is coming from the left, and cars and vans speed up this road (why is this not 20mph too?) There needs to be double yellow lines around the junction at the very least.

Incorrect traffic signs at entrance from Shotesham Road to Mentmore Way and Mentmore Way to Shotesham Road, 30th June
The road sign to the entrance to Shotesham Road from Mentmore Way, Rosebery Business Park is incorrect. The sign shows 20mph zone. This cannot be as Shotesham Road has a speed limit of 20mph and is not a 20mph zone. There is a distinct difference between a road which has a 20mph speed limit and one that is merely a 20mph zone. Speed Watch teams are not allowed to monitor the speed of traffic in 20mph zones.
The reverse side of the sign, i.e from Shotesham Road into Mentmore Way shows 30mph and the end of a 20mph zone. It seems wires have been crossed in that the sign to the entrance to Shotesham Road from Mentmore Way should read 20mph and the sign to the entrance to Mentmore Way from Shotesham Road should read 20mph zone.

Dangerous and inconsiderate parking, 20th June
The junction of Burgate Lane and Upgate/Hall Road in Poringland is a difficult blind T-junction with a narrow splay and visibility is obscured in both directions by the bushes on either side. There is also a bus stop almost opposite in Hall Road. For the last few months a builders van liveried R Kelly Decorators has been parking just inside the mouth of the junction forcing vehicles onto the wrong side of the road at the approach. A large number of agricultural vehicle use this lane and there have been a high number of near misses as vehicles turning into Burgate Lane, particularly from the Hall Road direction as they have no view into Burgate Lane and are not expecting traffic to be on the wrong side of the road. This vehicle belongs to a man who visits/stays in a bungalow on Hall Road which has a very large drive and there is no necessity for him to park there. He has been spoken to but became rude and abusive. The problem is further exacerbated by vehicles belonging to another family on Hall Road who regularly park opposite their own driveway which means that vehicles approaching the junction are forced out on to the wrong carriageway for a prolonged period of time. The elderly residents of the first house are dicing with death every time they try to reverse out of their driveway and they regularly have the van of R Kelly on the junction side which blocks all visibility of vehicles entering Burgate Lane and on the other side of their driveway their visibility is obscured but the other vehicles. The occupants of the first house on the opposite side also experience difficulty due to these vehicles. The situation is dangerous and I would ask that it be reviewed and some form of parking restriction or yellow lines be considered or notice sent to the owners of these vehicles.
